A great tip for battery would be not to let it discharge too much... This should keep your battery healthy for a longer time... Try to charge it when it's about 40% or more... Don't let it discharge too much if you can (only if you need)...

Another tip: keep a SIM card inside the slot, even if you don't use it (my case... I leave it disabled and only use it when I need phone connectivity... Almost never...). Some users have reported battery drain when leaving the Sim card slot empty.

Install the brightness patch, so you can set minimum brightness to 4%, since without this patch, minimum brightness is about 30% (too high for most people).

Use auto brightness or set a lower brightness if you want more juice...

Battery life with this tab and this ROM is great as it is... Enjoy

Downloaded the brightness patch : how to install ?

Use a regular micro SIM card from the carrier you want... The Cube supports quad band GSM frequencies and WCDMA 850/900/2100 MHz.

Use TWRP (install option) to install .zip patch (do not unzip it)... To enter TWRP, use rebooter app and select reboot recovery option.

You can search YouTube for a video if you want, but it's very simple...

It's definitely true... I can reproduce the problem any time I want... Flash ROM everything works fine. Install superSU app (using XDA .zip or playstore, both lead to the same result) titanium backup gets unusable, reporting not enough space to backup and after trying to restore, it just hangs on 0%.If you don't have this problem you are lucky or you have done something really right

I rooted stock rom, and update supersu app: everything works, the problems could be present on suprsport rom only.

I rooted stock rom, and update supersu app: everything works, the problems could be present on suprsport rom only.

I installed Brian's ROM from September and followed his included instructions.

In the flash tool I selected the files for the 6GB data partition (EBR1_6GB/EBR2_6GB). I also downloaded Lepi's TWRP recovery and selected the file in the flash tool. Then I flashed the full package with the 'download' button.
After the flash and reboot of the tablet, I used TWRP recovery to flash the brightness patch.
Afterwards I installed Titanium Backup.
Then I installed SuperSU (v2.13) and let the installation automatically remove the old superuser app.

Now the important part:
In the SuperSU settings you have to uncheck the option 'Mount namespace separation' and reboot the tablet.
Now all is working very well and I can backup/restore with titanium without any problems.

Don't worry... The SU app is installed as a service... 900supersport told me it was the only way for the tab to be rooted properly (to work with titanium backup, for example).

You can use an app called rebooter to reboot to recovery... If TWRP is installed, the tab will reboot to TWRP (if you don't know how TWRP looks like, it's not a problem... This version is themed and you will see a lot of colors).

If TWRP is not installed, the tab will boot to stock recovery (very poor graphics and just a few options...) Use volume- to navigate and volume+ to select option to reboot tab and try installing TWRP again using rashr.

TWRP is installed too now, but i can't install the bright.zip file in TWRP

what i noticed and also this happens on Onda and Pipo tablets with kitkat installed : FEEDLY is not working properly.

Black squares are appearing constantly making it impossible to read the feeds.

Anyone else noticed this ?

My antutu benchmark won't verify my scores... The score 28600 is showed in RED and with the words "non-verified score"...
Does anyone have the same problem? Is there a fix?

Why can't you install the brightness patch? What's happening? Just reboot to recovery and click install option... Select the storage (internal memory or external sd card) and search for the directory you downloaded the patch and confirm installation. DONE

Now go back and choose reboot -> system.

If you got error after choosing the .zip file, it may be corrupted... Redownload and try again.

I think everybody have the same problem... Can't verify scores in Antutu (shows in RED). I have not found a fix for that.

It's not recommended to use a much "bigger" charger for faster charging... This can permanentely damage your battery and even your tab (if battery blows up)... If you don't like the stock (crappy) charger, you could buy Onda's original charger on banggood.com for about U$ 8. It's 2.5A and good quality.
