after installing 1.6 version I have these problems:
1. WIFI slow.
2. often reboots.
3. Cant enter recovery mode - So can not install another rom

If you redownload latest 1.5v2 and unzip, you then cut and paste recovery file from 1.6v put it in 1.5v2 so you then have 3 files, add them to your sdcard then do the toothpick thing, and all should be good. happy days :-)

Hi @justme or who ever knows, can anyone tell me the airplay app that was on the 1.5 rom I can't seem to dine one that works on 1.6?

Try installing Quickboot from playstore and let it get you to recovery - could be the (AV)button is broke or something ...

Same here. Couldn't do it via ui either. Just keeps resetting showing the Mali amlogic image

I thought same thing but hold the toothpick in for about 6seconds after plugging the power in and it should work. Make sure all 3 files are on your sdcard!

Same here, i held the 1.6 rom though and got my hand on the minix launcher from the 1. 5.. Allmost perfect rom 😊😊😊

All you need to do is install another launcher for example the launcher from 1.5 or another from Play Store and than select your default launcher from settings.

I want to have HDMI constantly to my TV as stereo mix and occassionaly fire up my amp to enjoy surround sound (5.1)
Is anyone using SPDIF to get 5.1 surround sound

My receiver can Handle everything up to HD...but please make sure that...
You turn on the M8
You start playing a movie...Sound comes out of the TV...connection HDMI
You decide that u want full surround experience....you turn on the receiver 5.1/6.1 sound gets signaled through SPDIF...
