I sort of have this issue. I have a soldered on antenna that I did myself a few months ago and it's been working fine. Well today I flashed the firmware with no issues but 3 times today in the middle of a movie the wifi just cut out completely and the only way of restoring it was a full shutdown of the device. Reboot did not fix it. Anyone having this issue? I have wifi set to never sleep just fyi.

Nice but still a niggle
Hi There,
first of all thank you for your rom, is nice and plays good with ug802.
I have a problem with the google play, I can't download the BBC Iplayer in uk.
I have installed market enabler but still, when going to google play and search for bbc iplayer it tells me that is not available in my country. I'm currently based in uk and have flashed the rom the easy way.
Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

My device does not boot up!
First, I want to thank you Bob for the great job.
I tried to install finless 1.6 using the hard-way. But I don't know for what reason it didn't work (I could never reboot into the flash mode). It might be because my device was shipped with android 4.1.
So I tried to downgread it to ICS (finless 1.4) using your easy method so that I could later upgrade to 1.6 using the hard way. But and now I am stock in the bootup animation. It is not freezed, and the blue dots around the android icon is blinking, but it does not boot up.
Can anyone help please?
(Sorry for the bad quality)
Thanks

Thanks for bricking my 802 with this lousy firmware, you should go back to being a nobody, you'll hurt less folks that way. I got the endless boot loop that everyone else gets with this lousy firmware. You probably work for this store to make folks mess up their 802's and force them to buy a new one.....and dont tell me to "short" the 802, it dosent work either. I hope you rot in hell, you piece of crap!

As for bricking your device. I guess you do not read warnings nor cared about this possibility when you decided to do it? NO ONE FORCED you to do anything to your device. So I guess your one of those "entitled" kind of people the expect something for nothing and when you don't get it, blame others for your bad judgment?
Then instead of trying to get help you insult anyone that would have possibly helped you by calling everyone loosers?
Go somewhere else to cause trouble. Yout not welcome here with that attitude!
"Forgive them as they know not what they do"

You have respect for no one.
Bob and everyone else have been more than helpful and roms make our devices work better.
<if you don't know what you are doing is anyone else fault but yours.

BUMMED
Well im bummed.
I got the UG802, and went for the easy way to install the rom. i copied it to the micro memory card, rebooted and got prompted to install the ROM. I clicked on Install, and the progress bar moved about an inch, and then it sat there. i left it for over 2 hours and it never moved.
Whats up with that?
Obviously i couldnt leave it on all night, so had to turn the little device off. im hoping that when i have a look at it later today, i havent created a brick! which of course im going to be pretty pissed about.
any ideas why this crapped out? the download was good, i followed the instructions (basically copy it to the micro memory card and reboot the mini-tv. what the heck?

Lost ¿?
Hello everybody.
I've tried to flash my UG802 in the EASY Way, folowing the instructions step by step. Everything was fine: detected the update, start installing, first reboot, the green robot doing his thing, it finish, and then, rebooted the second time. The device started to load the new ROM, showing up the firs screen and then went to the second one (the one with the blue android robot as a buttom in the middle of the screen) and.... nothing more happend. This "buttom" has this kind of blue lines arround flashing all the time, but the system seems to never stop loading or doing something... No mouse pointer over screen also...
So, I'm lost. I'm not sure what to do... Of course I give it a long time to start, and that seems not to be the issue. I see y can't rollback, nor instal a ñew one. I would like to do it again in the hard way, but can put the UG802 in flash mode...
Any idea?. Ah! I forgot: sorry if thi was already treated, I'va read pages over pages of the post and couldnt find anything... THANK YOU!

Sounds like you are stuck in a bootloop....You're going to have to open up your UG802 (search for Bob's UG802 antenna modification video for the best way to open it) and short the nand pins. If you search the forum for "UG802 bootloop" you will find lots of posts....Here's one to get you started....It does work (I've done it twice!)......Good Luck
Warning! Be very careful with the micro usb port as these break off very easily, especially when not supported by the case....and then you will need a soldering iron....but there is a post for that as well!
But seriously, be very careful with the micro usb port.
....And here is the link to Bob's Wfi mod video for opening the case....
