Thx kriss but it did not work for me. "Error - could not download due to an error.(500) ...I tried change and was able to get it to google vs gmail in both play store and gmail(i mention gmail because i thought i read somewhere they are connected somehow and need gmail on). Anyway, i also have the mod fix for anntenna and am getting 15.64mbps with speedtest app. So i dont think its wifi issue.

It's either Google Play having problems again or for some reason it does not like your IMEI code.
Every time you flash (and erase IDB) the system makes a new IMEI code and this is what Google sees. If it is different then it adds yet another device to your list.

You can see your device list by going to google play with your PC browser. Loging ot google. Top far right is a gear icon. CLick and and select "my order and settings" Then at the top left area of the main screen select the settings tab. It will list all devices you have registered. Good chance you will see a few ug802 etc in the list. Now here you can do nothing about it. You can't delete etc. But you can NAME them so you know what is what.

So in the end try erasing NAND and reflashing. See if that gets you out of this problem. Trust this is not a ROM problem. I have had this happen to me before on tablets etc after a ROM flash. Google sometimes has issues. Why I do not fully understand.

Bob, thx for the reply/info. I went to "google play my account settings" and saw what you were saying. It only shows the two phones i have and the Rockchip is listed only once. so the code is staying the same? Anyway i erased nand and reflashed. still not working yet. I had flahed from 1.4 easy to 1.4a hard way. so i'll try again 1.4a easy since i have the extra space now. If it doent take i'll just resign myself to sdcard transfers. lol, have most all on the card now i want anyway. Its just weird. Thanks for the rom though, original was so bad i almost through out the device. Its like night and day with your stuff.

Very wierd! Usually a full flash and erase gives you a new ID. ALso google is NOT that fast at updating. Sometimes it takes hours for the new device to show up on that page. Trust me my pages have 1000's of devices listed!

The only other idea might be to change your device type in build.prop to somehting like the Galaxy Tab or something.

On new ID. It shows a Rockchip register date of sept.25 (when i first got it) and a last used date of Oct. 30. However i flashed it hard way on Oct.28. Also shows T-Mobile. So it recognised the ID same AFTER i did the hard way because last date used is Oct.30. but since Sept25 what i did was, 1.4easy to 1.4a easy to 1.4a hard way. Then the reflash and nand clear today. I'l try 1.4a easy reload again tommorow and repost if it fixes. If that doesnt work will try the build.prop. Just change name and manufacturer right?

Hi Bob,
I have to say a big thank you for your excellent ROM
Sync is near perfect and also had a long Skype call with no issues and watched a good few youtubes which all stayed in sync.

Well, tried build.prop changes(went through about 10 differant scenarios)and was able to get the changes to take(evry time). One even popped up in the "my order and settings" area(must have caught the google servers updating.). So at least i know i was on track. But wasnt able to get a solution. (and yes i resigned onto gmail/talk and set timezone ect. each time). So since i was looking at reflashing anyway, i deleted playstore and then tried reloading to an older version. Although it did install , the playstore then would not connect. And then i had sys update issues. so went to pc reflash. Got that done and playstore still didnt work. all build.prop went back with the rom reinstall. left all settings at whatever the reflash put them at. since this was a pc reflash of one i already did, i then also reflashed again to sdcard flash. still no go. only thing i did not check was the .jar but you said you updated that, so i give up. everything else is awesome so i can live without the playstore. Thks for the rom and all the help.

Lets check one more thing.
Reflash, login to google using settings (not Gamil or play). Look in sync settings and make sure everything is set to sync.

Now open play store and vierw a few things.
Then if you have it install ES File explorer. Make sure you turn on up to root, root explorer, and mount system RW. Also turn on show hidden files.
Now navigate to /data/app
The only thing that should be in there is es file explorer. If not, see if maybe the Play store or google core updated. If it did these will also be in /data/app

It maybe a new update is jacking you up. When I made this ROM a new play store and GsmCore was released and thus I used them. While you seem to tbe the only one having this problem, there might be something more to it.

Ok, i'm game. Reflah pc or sd way? Drivers are in pc already so not hard. I have ES, thats what i was using for build.prop. Only question i have is "login to google using settings ". Login is through 3 places store/gmail/talk. or on web through browser at store/gmail. so where in settings? I have been verifying sync on. I made myself a check list after the 3rd build.prop change, lol, didnt trust myself. Can do though on the rest, i get that part. But before i do that stuff i'm going to try a freinds wifi. Either thurs night or fri aft. Maybe its my router causing a problem. Which would be strange because i was just playing with the media transfers from my pc over network to the UG802, but downloads may be differant. Anyway ive been at it to long and need a break/sleep so when i do go back to rooting i am awake!! Might even do a video of it for you if the other wifi doesnt work and i try what your saying. At least you would be able to see it and maybe see something i don't. thx again.

In the standard settings (not the custom one) is a selection for "accounts and sync" Go in there and on the top right is a button to add account. This is where I have always done it as it sets up the account for everythning else (gmail, play, etc).

Ok, my friend was not avail yet to try his/different wifi. So did the full pc reflash 1.4a. Setup wifi connect. Logged into google where you said. Verified sync. Then installed ES file explorer,set root/write/unhide files. Then went to play store and viewed items. Back to ES and went to data/app and yes only ES showed there. Then went to Play Store just to see what happens and got a new error. This one saying "error retrieving from server.[RPC:AEC:0]" Rechecked my wifi connection and it was connected. Was able to browse web. Google even synced my bookmarks. Video on usa network even worked fine. If the differant wifi doesnt work, i'll wait for the "2dark4u ug802 rom" to get bugs worked out or whatever variant you come up with. Did a couple vids if you want to see the try. Not greatest but you could see if you want to be sure i followed steps right. But everything else works so.. like i said before.. weird.

So let me tell you something. I now too am having Google Play issues after a fresh flash of the ROM!
Not only on these TV devices but also on my Tablets!!!! Seriously..... Something is going on with Google Play again
This is not the first time we have seen issues like this over the last 12 months since Google went from Google Market to Play Store!

So something is going on. I think the issue maybe the new GMSCore.apk. Not sure yet but again I am having problems on my other devices now. All kinds of different errors.

So my thinking now is let;'s wait a few days and see if this gets fixed but for sure something is up!

Also, google search your error codes and look and see how many are complaining about this now.....

No it is not possible... this is in the kernel. Nothing we can do without kernel source.

But, I have some questions:

1 - If I install this ROM, I will lost the stock ROM, right?
2 - Is there a way to reverse if I do not like this ROM?
3 - Has an option to hide the bottom bar of android?
4 - My UG802 currently runs at 1600mhz (antutu info), this ROM will set to 1200mhz or that ROM not change the CPU frequency?
