OK folks... been working on the NEW ROM all day. Trying to perfect it
It's time for dinner for me so even though I said SOON and about an hour.... It will be tomorrow AM after all. I want some kinks worked out. I am 99% there I think.
So I am going to dinner then hang with the wife. ROM will be ready in the AM whyen I can "get'er done".

I may be wrong. You need a physical button to turn off permanently (if connected to external power). Falling energy would cause a reboot, and can even burn if it occurs continuously. Whats wierd is the MK808 will actually power off! So there must be some hardware implementation the ug802 does not have.
I have noticed RK3066 tablets all seem to have a odd operation. If the tablet is off and you plug in the charger, it will boot up! Then if you leave the charger hooked up and shut it down normally through the Android OS, it just boots back up again. To actualy shut it down you have to hold the power button for 10 seconds and force the shut down. But then oddly enough it wont charge! My Yaundao does this yet a previous ROM it had would actually power off and charge while powered off! So it may not all be hardware. One day I plan to look into this more.

does anyone know how to get the path to an sd card for the ug802? the ExternalStorageDirectory() function references the internal flash memory. thanks for any helpComment

EDIT: In .img format I meant, I know there is 1.6 but with flash tool. I don't have my USB plug on the 802, they are soldered weak and fell off, only can update via sdcard

There is no way to update from ICS to JB using update.img.
Read post 100 in the 1.6 thread to understand why.
