My guess is we're waiting for openelec 5 to reach a certain status. And since kodi14 had gone stable next rls will contain that version.

It is possible in theory, but some parts like Wi-Fi or IR remote may not function properly.

Merry Christmas, meant to post earlier, is there a way to donate towards a new MXQ for you?

In regards to question about running the TV110 code, I am using the MXQ as a test for OpenELEC, I am going to plug in direct via ethernet and use a USB wireless mouse.....would this work do you think?

That's would be a miracle if you could, Openelec runs on it's own linux OS..... So you removed Android by installing OE.
you can return to Android though, by flashing your system again with the appropriate android ROM.....

Can any one help with my problem from last week?

Hi Guys,

I keep getting this every time it starts to load. It has been working fine for a while now. Even if I install new from recovery.

• I have wiped data/ cache from recovery.
• Installed 4.97.1 but this just hangs on the shown screen, but with not writing to the left.
• Installed 4.2.1 and get this error message

It is a droidbox iMX6. (G18 (G18REF, Matricom MX2, Generic Droid-TV) with Amlogic 8726MX SoC).

Hope someone can help me resolve this.

First post....

First of all... I want to say thank you for all the people who have posted on this thread and how they have helped me get to where I am currently

My current setup...

Onkyo Amp - Sumvision x4 player (805 chipset)

Flashed with the Openlec 4.97.3 Amlogic.arm

I have the device running... very well may I add - bar 2 issues
(I am not very versed ...so would need a blow by blow on how to do this)

The network speed is showing as only capable of 10/100 where I know the device is capable of 1000.
What do I do to get this addressed

Secondly... the Audio out on Kodi 14... is showing as only
Default (AML-M8AUDIO Analog) and is greyed out

I would like this back to HDMI (and output all audio as it comes to the Onkyo (which is where my HDMI is going into one of its many inputs)

I hope you guys can help...and surely then I will gladly do a dump/config rom whatever for anyone else so they can also use

hi just put on Codesnake OpenELEC Rom b3 but now only boots to openelec screen then says cant load. there is wrighting saying type exit with keyboard i have done that but wont load up . trid to get back into upgrade with pin holding in but it wont go in to reset just go,s back to openelec screen is there a way to unlock box from in side with pins trmk1 thanks any way to unlock thanks
