    Hi guys,

First of all thanks a lot for the work you put in the kernel re-building venture!
I purchased a M7Pro for my wife 1.5 years ago so I though I would install RR 3.4.2... I am not an expert of flashing ROMs, but I have followed the instructions given in the user guide.
The default package works as expected and touchscreen, USB OTG in host mode and WiFI (all I tested last night) are OK.
However when I try replacing the kernel.img with D33 kernels 1.32.17 and 1.33.0x and reflash, touchscreen does not work and the USB mouse is not recognized.
The latest D33 working kernel for me is 1.32.16a and this is weird as most feedbacks I have read so far in here do not have a working touchscreen with it..
could it be that Pipo changed the touchscreen controller (from ct36x to ?) at some point while keeping the tablet model number?
And that I have an old M7Pro and the people in here a newer revision?
I would be happy to provide you with the dmesg logs if you are interested so if you could point me to a short guide on how to extract them that would be great.

    Cheers,
    Mic

      Hi D33,

I tested 1.33.01 and I lost all usb (could not even connect to my comp to do dmesg). I did have syslog loaded on the tablet so I have attached the syslog from 1.33.01.

        Hi D33,

I tested 1.33.02 and I could not get the Bluetooth or GPS to work after a reboot but the HDMI and USB OTG worked. After a restart (powered down) the Bluetooth still did not work as well as the HDMI and USB OTG but the GPS worked okay. I have attached the dmesg and syslogs for both if it helps. Also in 1.33.01 and 1.33.02 the minimum brightness goes to a totally dark screen.

Most M7Pro models use the Goodix touchscreen. Up to now we have only heard of VTL CT363 being used for repaired models. During my development of the kernel I got the CT363 driver working nicely but I seem to have made an error somewhere that means it blocks the loading of any other touchscreen driver if I leave it in. Hence I have removed in the 1.33.x series

              Hi D33,

Bluetooth does not switch on at all using 1.33.03 even after root or restart. Everything else is the same as with 1.33.02.

No, power cycle is: shutdown (power off) - wait a couple of seconds - power on
1.33.01 - no USB at all (both ports)
1.33.03 - BT can't be turned on even after power cycle

Can one of you test with the 'Stock' kernel built from the M7 source and see if all working?

Hmmmm ..... I've recompiled and tested the stock build on my M8HD. It definately boots okay. I've uploaded

                      download 'stock'

                      notes:

For clarity, this is a a kernel built with source code provided 'as is' from Pipo. I have not edited or amended.

The same bootloop as with previous kernel..
It doesn't even show a logo.
                        I'm testing with RileyROM 3.4.2

As a slightly different approach, try this

                                1.34.01
Wi-Fi was weird right after flashing the kernel (it didn't see any networks), but after the power cycle Wi-Fi is ok
                                Touchscreen, Rotation, HDMI are ok
OTG is ok too (I tried a mouse and USB flash drive)
Brightness control: screen is black at minimum level
                                BT and GPS aren't working

                                1.34.02
                                No touch screen
