BT seem ok (can detect other phones), but yes, after 1st reboot, still doesnt work (cannot be turned on, see error msg in dmesg)

This is the same DMESG as .14 not kernel build .15

Thanks TriA. The GPS bit is the holy grail now.

Regarding BT, I'm a little stumped.

That's because the Pipo supplied source identifies the HDMI power pin and the GPS power pin both as the same (PIN1_PB5)

                (b) I haven't noticed any difference with 1.32.15, but dmesg isn't equal

Focus on HDMI & GPS. Please confirm their function in .16

Hi d33, 16a the touchscreen doesn't work so I cannot test the GPS but the HDMI worked first time after flashing and then did not work again after resetting and powering the tablet back up. 16b GPS works but the HDMI worked first time after flashing and then did not work again after powering off and powering the tablet back up.

different behaviours on 1st boot and on following boots might be due to android being disturbed by the kernel change and not keeping up with that after a while... no ?

                        Oops. Ooooops!
I didn't test with powering the tablet off!
                        .16b kernel:
Bluetooth IS working after power cycle! Reboot was not enough.
HDMI ok, it works even while the tablet is booting up (at the time of rotating the RileyROM logo) and so further.
                        But GPS isn't working
All other features seems to be OK

By the way, backlight is flickering (like a candle) while battery is very low and brightness set to low.
I think, backlight hardware is unstable with low LED current and low input voltage, so minimum brightness wasn't set too low in stock kernels, because ot that

We can think that 1.32.17 will be based on 1.32.16b; with +10 for min value of brightness and maybe some new tentative for fixing GPS.

With one previous kernel version, I did see a frightening number of error in dmesg and related to I2C, iirc, did you also notice that, TriA ?

There was a lot of I2C errors with all versions having non-working touch screen

                              Oh wait...
                              GPS seems to work too.
But. With screen turned off only.
If I put the tablet to sleep with GPS software running in background, it can see many (about 10-15) satellites and properly fix the position.
As soon as I wakeup the tablet, the number of satellites in view decreases one by one, to zero (sometimes 1-2), within 5-10 seconds.
So strange. I had no big problems with GPS on this particular tablet with JellyBean firmwares, although signal levels were not the best.

TriA, in the past, I've noticed that in my car, GPS was working correctly but as soon as I connected the tablet to a power supply, GPS was then unable to get correct locations anymore !
Maybe a dmesg dump done just after you wake your tablet up could help us see some eventual signs ?!
