I selected everything except the settings related to phone/mobile data. I feel that my screen is responsive to touch is typing is 100% successful with no dropped letters. Antutu benchmark increased from 7300 to 7634 and the rest is possibly placebo? Other than these improvements it hasn't made things worse though, as I type this, I notice my WiFi signal is weaker in a room that normally has full strength. I'll reapply the WiFi fix and see if that fixes it.

Edit: WiFi signal full again after reapplying fix so Pimp My ROM decreased my WiFi performance

Sorry to go OT again but I have since restored back to my 900SS 1.0 because my screen started flickering in the bottom left corner (like a flourescent tube does). I'm not noticing any performance difference so it looks like I was a placebo fan!

It's only placebo if it improves things and you don't question it... I choose to look at it as a case study where I identified a drop in performance (backlight flickering) which was resolved when I removed Pimp My ROM. That is my story and I am sticking to it as I feel less like a goose (especially since I backed up before flashing this time)!

CifsManager fails with "No such device", according to CifsManager FAQ this is due to missing cifs module or kernel cifs support. Can you please provide the said module?

Good ROMs come from people willing to work hard to make them. I cannot see in this early stage of Android (yes it is still early in my opinipon), hadrware, etc that any kind of automatic plastic surgery or black magic will work for everyone!

Well back on track to the 1.1 discussion, my pad should be here shortly, but yes im interested in knowing if the 1.16 bootloader and 1.7 kernel break the use of the cwm recovery in this rom, as apparently it breaks the recovery 4.0 from tab_modders rom in flashmyandroid.

I tried installing the 1.16 bootloader and 1.7 kernel together and separately and it would never boot into CWM or ROM. I was stuck with a non-responsive black screen so had to use the 'screwdriver' trick. I eventually realised that the 1.16 bootloader and 1.7 kernel flash resulted in two options, off or flash mode. Interestingly if I did this installation, got the black screen, connected usb and booted into flash mode and installed with default settings everything worked again. As id din't have to reflash the old bootloader (and the tab wasn't selected) I am guessing the 900SS mightn't be flashing the 1.16 bootloader even though I am selecting it and that is why the 1.7 kernel doesn't boot? Has anyone had success with flashing 1.16 BL and 1.7 Kernel?

Point taken Bob... I have unpimped my Cube with some good 900ss engineering and now I am getting Antutu Benchmarks of 7600 with this 1.1 ROM (1.6 kernel) straight off the shelf. So far this rom looks good, is nice and responsive and WiFi is stable.

No nothing occurred, normally Cube Peashooter into CWM after your flasher is finished but in this case just a black screen with the flasher saying I was still connected. Long press of power key didn't make the faint click sound before switching off but your flasher said I was no longer connected. Vol+ & power until computer sounded and I was connected to your flasher again but still black screen. I closed and reopened your flasher, erased band and flashed ROM without changing defaults and everything went smoothly. This makes me think your flasher utility doesn't flash the new boot loader because if it did your default install would have flashed 1.6 kernel which doesn't work with the new boot loader.

Have i made this as clear as mud for you... hopefully you follow my reasoning?

I ticked the boot loader box, selected the 1.16 boot loader and 1.7. Kernel and then flashed. After I reflash the default settings without the 1.11 boot loader box ticked.

Brian, my MK808 TV box will boot this ROM and because of the way it works I can do the screw driver trick easily! (there is a button believe it or not). So what would you like me to test? Loader and kernel?

If I'm lucky I will have my H fixed in a week or so's time. I'll then see if I can get somewhere with this. I may need to flash the stock 1.7 to get the kernel setup then experiment with boot, system and finally recovery.

In the mean time I can flash loader 1.16 and kernel 1.7 and see if it boots? Is that what your looking for?

Also on this Cube when you erase IDB wat does it count up to? 2048 or something higher. This will help me determine if the loader screws up. BUT it wont give 100% certain it will still not screw up the Cube.
