I think you must re install version 1.04 and then update 1.05, then 1.06, and finally 1.07

I think you try to connect with tablet powered on, shutdown tablet and use some decent quality USB cable and USB2.0 port.
Look here and you'll be good.

That's only way to reflash FW V1.04.

if connected to an USB 3.0 port is working too.
                I already tested it.

Should I use some combination of keys to connect?

From what you say tablet is soft bricked.
Yes, I read somwere in 4PDA forum about some combination of keys but I don't find where it is right now.
With tablet in Off condition and USB cable out try to press in the same time power+vol up or power+volume down for ~ 5 seconds and connect cable to PC.
SP Flash Tool must to be already set, with Scatter file loaded and Download pushed and you should see some activity on SP Flash Tool.

You have used native USB 3.0 port from motherboard?
I have tried that with U65GT using USB 3.0 port from front panel and wasn't worked.

                          I don't think so.
Just keep trying. Use the same USB port where tablet was detected in SP Flash Tool before.

Onboard USB 3.0 intel chipset (Intel B85 chipset) with ports on case front panel.
Flashed firmware every time from there without any issue (on Windows 8.1 x64)

I have to try again with USB 3.0 native connector from motherboard (I hope not very early) and I'll confirm that.

                                touchscreen issue resolved

hi everyone and thx for this really good thread (i went through alsmost all of it after having multiple issues with my T9). i wanted to add this: after OTA updating my T9 to newest firmware 1.07 the touchscreen problem seems to be solved. i can now flawlessly use up to 10 fingers and move around without issues (tested using multitouch test app). so it seems to me that this was indeed a software problem. i can't yet report on the problem with frequent crash/reboots (which occure to several times a day). i'll check back in a couple of days to talk about that. keep up the good work!
