Had my T9 for a week and so far I am very pleased. Assuming it lives for longer than the battery, is there a way to diy replace the battery?
If so, it would be a big help if someone posted a video.Cube T9 - Build v1.08 - OS v4.4.4 KitKat - Rooted.

This has been the most durable, trouble free tablet I have ever had.
There are probably a few 9.7" tabs with a thing here, or something there that might be seen as better, but this tab has to be the best built, best concieved 9.7" to come out of China in a long, long time.

Yeah I agree build quality is very good and everything works as it should. Only down side is the lack of upgrade support from Cube, looks like were stuck with KitKat. I'm tempted to root and add more space for apps but as everything is running fast and smooth, I thnk I will keep it a while longer before I try, especially as rooting for the T9 look's a bit hit and miss. It would help if the root instructions were clear or there was a one click root app available that actually worked.Cube T9 - Build v1.08 - OS v4.4.4 KitKat - Rooted.

I used VRoot (or iRoot) mentioned in this informative thread on the T9. It worked, and has held all this time. TWRP is better, everyone says... and one day I will root that way.
One day I may do a custom rom if a good one becomes available.
Enjoy!Information for people new to flashing. I am also a noob, and learned this from Edius (http://freaktab.com/member/43460-edius) and the other posters onCube T9; Pipo M8 Pro (on life support); LG gPad

Also note that iRoot will mess with some "System" partition files and System integrity check test will not pass. Rooting through TWRP with SuperSU is the safest way to go.
And pls. just make a full backup including all partitions right after TWRP install.

The Cube T9 has been a lot of help to me in work. I use it for literally everything except coding. I'll like to have a change of ROM though, and I think the best I've seen so far is the Remix OS because it'll increase my productivity. I contacted them and surprisingly, someone from Cube (instead of Jide) replied me to say
Hi,
Our solution company can't provide lollipop so i don't know when T9 or T7 will upgrade to Android 5.0 or 5.1
Besides, T9 can't install remix os
Best regards

i wonder how long before apps require minimum lollipop to work?
i also find strange the lack of roms for this device. It uses a fairly popular chip and as far i can tell it's all generic so why is it so hard to port roms?
In my opinion, I believe ACUBE doesn't want to update these tablets because they want to use Lollipop upgrade as a selling point for their newer products. Tablets like the Archos Diamond Tab are with the same processor chip and have Android 5+. I believe we are on our own here and need to make our own custom roms on our own.
Still on that, anyone know anyone who can make a remix os rom for this tab and I'm ready to pay for it.
