MK808 Android mini TV Player - Finless 1.5A Custom ROM

Hey, is there any way to turn the mk808 on via remote? I got everything working fine, but i have to unplug the mk808 everytime. If i do not unplug it, it will freeze. I got the rc11 remote from geekbuying. Turning on and off works if i try it within a few minutes but if i wait longer i can not turn it on again.

However a custom rom such as paranoid android sports and expanded desktop mode accessible via the power button. On tablets that hides the navigation bar on command irrespective of the app. Is a feature like this not implementable on the mk808.

That having been said, I don't own a mk808 but having been reading these forums in anticipation of buying one. Also, thank you for all your hard work.

Yes Tablet buttons can be made to do this function as well. But I would not call it "auto hide". The user has to do something. Also a Luancher is an APP so a launcher can do it as well.
However there are no "hard" buttons on these TV devices.

Unable to install driver for MK 808

After reading the README FIRST txt. I am still not be able to install the driver for my MK 808. I did try both of my laptop (Windows 7) and desktop (XP). Did try both sides of the computer( front and back USB ports), with no luck at all. I am be able to see the device MK808 under other device tab with the yellow exclamation mark. But after opened the folder and let the driver wizards searched. It just came up empty, and could not locate the driver at all. and the error was: (Windows was unable to install your MK808 Windows could not find driver software for your device if you know the manufacture of your device you can visit its website) Can some one please shed me some lights on this? Did I do anything wrong with the procedure? Thanks in advance.

"Also, just released is a new rom Finless 1.7a for UG802. (which can also work on the MK808, if you change the kernel, use the same one mentioned above.

This combination is a fairly dramatic speed improvement over the stock rom, and also has several features such as being able to hide the status bar built into the rom."

Do you support this, our should we wait for an official MK808 1.6 Finless ROM?

We will be making a MK808 official ROM! I cannot support what I did not make. So use it if you like but a better one "tuned" for MK808 will be coming.

I use it and it works good for now... wifi is much better than with the 1.5a ... only problem was that ehomemediacenter seems to crash after stopping streaming and after pushing back button the stick rebooted... oh and the bootanimation dont really fit any longer....

Yes! But I just went back and re-read the README FIRST TEXT AGAIN. On line number 8 how to install driver it stated: 8) Then click on the folder for 32bit or 64bit depending on your OS. Went back out and open those 2 driver folders. There are x64 and x86 folder only But none are X32. So where are x32 folder? Can some one help me over here, please. Thanks!

ANDROID TV MK808 WIFI PROBLEM

I have a big problem and I can not do at all. I have an android mini TV for A9 dual core android I installed 1.5a ROM Root mk808 Finless which works perfectly except wifi. Viewing maximum signal but can not connect. I have a router HUAWEI HG 520b. What should I do I can have wifi internet? Thanks

..and was wondering if it will be compatible with this ROM? It seems to have the same chipset as the MK808 by all accounts and in fact I'm scratching my head to find any difference at all between the two if I'm honest.

I'm having a issue with my Google play music ... screen rotation issue.
The Google play music not rotate to landscape mode...it stretch to the whole tv.
And way I can force it to rotate?
