Megatron ROM for ENY EM8 and K200 T8 boxes

Another issue cropped up today. G Box quad has suddenly gone black twice and then the word "android" just sits there and modulates. Anybody else having this issue?

It's happened to me a couple of times i just unplug power supply to reboot .I tried connecting by wifi for the first time and on a speed test i get 32Mbps down with wifi and only 14Mbps with ethernet cable connected.

I never had it happen to me but several of my members had it happen...

I actually get a better connection with my wifi then a hard line. It seems that it should be the other way around!!

Anyone know if this ROM can be put onto an Instabox Phantom?
(chip: Amlogic S812, model: S806 / n200)
It is similar to a T8.

Thanks, I'm downloading it now. Now I'm looking at whether to continue with a modified/updated version of Stane's early build or jump head first to this new ROM. As you can imagine, I'd like to save myself some time by going with one or the other

If you compared Megatron to the Acemax 20150123 update, what are the most important differences?

Don't do it! The S812 is a different SoC and you'll brick the box

is there a fw that only have kodi on and thats all or just a clean fw where i can install my self i dont need all the addon all i need is kodi thanks

Honestly, I haven't played around with your Megatron ROM at all so I couldn't tell you the big differences. Was just letting you know about the new ROM in case it helps you out in anyway . Wish I could be more help, the only thing so far on the 20150123 that I noticed so far which might be a problem is that I don't see options to change the output to 4K in the settings but, I'm not sure if the 4K settings are hidden because I don't have a 4K TV. Other than that, it seems to work well.

Edit: I noticed the one post about speeds on your ROM not being as good as other ROMs. I'm on a 25mbit connection my self and with the stock firmware I linked to I max out using a wired connection (wifi I don't use too much)

SF here you go.....sounds like a problem with the new Kod 14.1! Just a note before I installed your Rom I had that black screen so went back to 14.0 “Helix”

It was hang-up in exit screen of Kodi so I am not sure it wasn't Kodi not the rom. I am very pleased with the rom

Mine had the hiccup in kodi and in the cinema hd app on the homescreen. Both times had either finished watching a movie or was attempting to exit out of the app. Didn't happen today, but I haven't had much time to watch.

I'm considering only including Kodi moving forward... but even if XBMC is installed all you need to do is uninstall from app settings. I dont include extra addons - just sources to add repos/addons yourself
