    Changelog:

    • add some CEC kernel patches from Amlogic (thanks to @surkovalex)
    • change default CPU governor to **hotplug** to get rid of random crashes

        jackmate OK, now I see that your device uses Realtek 8723BS chip. For the next release I will include drivers for it in HD18Q and you should be able to make it work by adding a modprobe 8723bs command to autostart.sh script.

        hi,
        I just flashed 5.0.8.19 version of ur hd18q build but still no wifi is shown,is there something else I have to do,since u said u addedd drivers for my device mxv? also even box power on the led in front remains red in hd18 q build.or should I try mxq build.

        i tried new 5.0.8.19 mxq build .same issues.
        dmesg is here
        http://sprunge.us/DMHJ

        this should show wifi fails to reconnect and i see failure message in wifi screen.still shows eth0 and eth1 for same wifi,

          Thanks for all the hard work porting OpenELEC to ARM :-)

          I downloaded http://s805.eu/releases/5.0.8.19/SD/....0.8.19.img.gz

          Installed it on my SD Card & used the pin to boot from it & it works great even have sound through HDMI :-)

          But for some reason I cannot boot from my NAND (Android OS) anymore it just crashes to recovery loader.

          I have tried both "Reboot to NAND" in Openelec & rebooting without the SSD Card so it seems like it only trying to boot from the SD Card as when I do "Wipe data/factory reset" it tries to wipe the non-existent mountedSSD Card.

          Any idea how I can add a boot loader to my device?

          My plan was to have

          NAND = Android
          SD = OpenELEC

          Hopefully someone can answer 1st time posting/using this img :-)

          Thanks
          Jeremy

            kszaq I've installed your new 5.0.8.19 on my HD18Q MXQ and still no wifi? I did try modprobe 8189es but gave an error, I also did cat /proc/kmsg of all the buttons on the remote... Now yesterday I git cloned you 5.95.3.1 and changed the line in the remote.conf located in /project/amlogic/devices/HD18Q/filesystem/etc/amremote to this factory_code = 0xff000001 and built a rom. I also captured the cat /proc/kmsg on this build. I have uploaded both for your comparison.

            thanks again for all your work.

              pigbait I explained how the hotplug governor works some time ago for you, please read that post. If you installed 5.0.8.19 over 5.95.3.1 and did not wipe your data, Kodi will crash. However, if you think the crashes are related to CPU governor, feel free to add a command to autostart script. I won't change the default governor back to ondemand due to crashes it is causing for some boxes.

              pigbait For the remote control, you should copy your remote.conf file to the Config Samba share and it should simply work...
              As for WiFi, I'm afraid that to get it working you might need to change kernel's device tree.

                      kszaq Have installed your latest release on my new Tronsmart MK808B+ and I like it a lot. Almost everything works perfectly (where I had several issues with the stock ROM), wifi is fast, video is stable, no stutter when playing files.

                      The only issue I do have is that about half the time I start a video (local or streaming), the audio drop-outs every 2 or 3 seconds. If I stop and restart the video it may go away. I have tried fiddling with the audio settings (to include passthrough), but can't seem to make it work.

                      I get audio and video (1080p60) over HDMI.

                      If you have any suggestions, I would love to hear them.

                        kszaq maybe I should just send you the box? I've tried moving the remote.conf from andriod rom to config folder but some buttons aren't mappable even with the keymap addon. As for WiFi it did work on your MXQ rom for beeline when it was 5.0.8.17 and has stopped since..

                        Thanks for your help..

                            jackmate pigbait Please try this test version (MXQ and HD18Q) to see if it fixes WiFi for you. I have included updated Realtek drivers in it: http://s805.eu/test/5.0.8.20dev/

                            pigbait I'll try to help you defining a proper remote.conf for your device, I just need to find some spare time.

                            jman177 Does Android boot properly if you re-flash it using either USB Burining Tool or SD-update?

                            hodr I'm sorry to say that but no logs - no ideas. Except for one: are you using a DVR? You may want to try to connect your box directly to your TV.

                              kszaq I tried both mxq and hd18q build in mxv,same result. using mxq build 2 wifi eth0 and eth1 displays,connect to 1 fine,when reboot,failed to re connect wifi.
                              with hd18q build wifi setting still doesnt show up at all.
