From what I looked into bootloader source code, you may be able to enter recovery by repeatedly pressing Menu button right after powering on the box - and you should be aware that even if it works, you'll lose that ability after flashing OpenELEC as the included bootloader is intended for devices with recovery button and not without. If the Menu button method doesn't work for you, you can either use Terminal Emulator or connect over ADB and issue ;reboot recovery.
kszaq.  Thank you for that kszaq.

Thinking forward I have a Tronsmart TMS01 2.4 Ghz remote for the MK809 Plus. I am thinking that once flashed with your Openelec ROM this remote will not work; correct?

Is there a default keyboard or keyboards supported by default once flashed with Openelec for this device?

I am in a bit of a pickle as somehow everything on menus that I click on for the MK809 Plus now seems to run the browser by default under Android. With Geekbuying dropping support for this device I don't know what to do to flash the new Android Update ROM as I cannot execute the update instructions as detailed in this link:

      http://blog.geekbuying.com/index.php...ased-20150403/

Even on a cold boot it keeps running into this cycle.

I pretty much have to get Openelec going now to regain use of this box or consider a new box.

      Thanks.

Here I'm only get audio in SPDIF interface, in HDMI has no audio.

Someone know how to fix this?

        Thanks in advance
medeiros405 You need to tell me which version you are using, what device and provide logs. It also seems that there might be an issue with audio passthrough with 5.95.3.1 build which I plan to fix quite soon.

        thank you again,

braguzz If plugin documentation says that it works on ARM devices in OpenELEC, it should work.

Compos Here is an example commit that changes IR code that powers on the box and changes the first splash screen loading method: https://github.com/kszaq/u-boot/comm...0fc9b3aaeb7ad6

For LED GPIO, first you need to look up power_led port in Android by typing cat /sys/kernel/debug/gpio. Then you have to modify this patch: https://github.com/kszaq/OpenELEC.tv...ower_led.patch

mpp As long this Tronsmart remote is a standard HID device, it should work with no issues. There is no list of supported input devices.

You might have no idea, but I thought I would ask anyways. I'm trying to figure out if the KWorld UB435-Q TV Tuner will work. You can see it here:

It also appears in the Openelec supported TV Tuner list, but from my reading it seems not all those work with the MK808B+? http://wiki.openelec.tv/index.php/Supported_TV_Tuners

            Thanks

kszaq Thank you for the reply. I went to check if it mentions anything about standard HID device. It is compatible with Windows, Mac OS, Android, & Linux. It is apparently plug and play. Communications is 2.4 Ghz. This sounds fairly standard, no?

              Thanks.

                      Hello,
i want to customize a few things with openelec, so i downloaded the packages and edited what i wanted. now i want to compile it, so i ran (for MXQ):

                      PROJECT=Amlogic ARCH=arm DEVICE=MXQ make release

after 2 hours it finished and i got a new directory with many sub-directories. now im kind of at a loss, what do i do now? sorry if this is a stupid question.
                      thank you

Sorry for this offtopic question not related directly with any openelec problem. But only to know if I can use this openelec on the box I bought.

The MXQ supported by this openelec version is the one sold on gearbest (http://www.gearbest.com/tv-box-mini-pc/pp_80704.html)?
It seems that many guys are making MXQ's. I already spotted one from tronfy, acemax have 2 versions (one without button and one that looks like the one from gearbest), and beelink.

The MXQ you linked to works fine with this OpenELEC.

Do you think this would support a S805 box like the ubox? these boxes seem to be the same except that they use emmc memory instead of nand.

                              Hello to Alls,

I have two MXQ boxes, and Installed this version in theses boxes, but all boxes get the same MAC address for the Ethernet 00:11:22:33:44:55, like the two MXQ have the same mac address I had problem in my network.

Have any way to fix this?

                              Thanks in advance

I_am_rushin According to http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.ph..._ATSC_TV_Stick this tuner is not supported by my builds as we use 3.10 kernel and can't update until Amlogic releases a more recent one. Sorry.

mpp Yes, most probably it will work out of the box.

HAK25 You can find the build in target folder.

medeiros405 There are many ways in which MAC address reading is handled and they don't always waork with all boxes. If you installed HD18Q, you may want to try MXQ build and vice versa.
