I installed 5.0.8 a month ago and I found that when I play HD file with Dolby Digital 5.1, the sound comes through the HDMI cable and my AV amplifier recognises it as DD. I don't know this is refered as passthrough, but Dolby Didital 5.1 works on my MXQ.

MAC address is now static on my Beeline MXQ p15 firmware

Was your MAC address static with earlier versions? Can you try flashing the MXQ version and check if your MAC address changes (your remote won't work with this version unless you put a remote.conf file in Configfiles folder)?

Thank you for your report but HD Audio means DTS HD and Dolby TrueHD. This doesn't work.

Yes, this is the MXQ. Also, the flash procedure you posted is right.

MAC address wasn't stable with earlier versions.
Flashed HD18Q with MXQ version - same problem, MAC changes.

ArikZ I made 2 test builds for you: http://s805.eu/releases/test/hd18q_mac_test/

They force the MAC address to be read using NAND/eMMC method instead of deciding automatically (extenal_api_key_set_version method parameter).

Please test both. What you should look for in dmesg are these lines:
                Code:
                [ 12.784300@0] --1--write mac add to:ef349b88: 56 2c 03 cc 19 75 |V,..u|
                [ 12.784340@0] unkown current key-name,key_read_show:1396
                [B][ 12.784350@0] ret = -22[/B]
                [ 12.784350@0] print_buff=
                [ 12.784357@0] --2--write mac add to:ef349b88: 56 2c 03 cc 19 75 |V,..u|
The result of ret should be positive - that would mean that the MAC address has been read properly.

Let me know which version (if any) works for you.

Tested them both. Same result. MAC addrss changes. ret = -22 on dmesg.

my newly purchased MK808B Plus didn't have wifi with the normal rom, only with the test firmware. but you removed it, why? and can you please restore it?
                      Thanks, Eran.

It seems like it might be an invalid device tree issue then. Do you have a link to an Android firmware on which the MAC address doesn't change?

Thanks, I'll try and let you know, although somebody already claimed that he did so and it didn't work. I'll give it a try myself once i have the chance.
btw, I love your work, again, can't say that enough man.

I have tried this Android firmware: https://www.copy.com/s/t%3AloOSdtAMh..._0916_QUAD.rar
And the Ethernet MAC address is stable.

I'm glad to hear that Bluetooth works as well. There are donations links in the first post, I recommend donating to Kodi and OpenELEC as thanks to their work we can have this great piece of software.

RTL8723BS WiFi didn't work with 5.0.8p14, with 5.0.8p15 it's reported to be fully working, except for BT which may start to work with the next release.

I am using a device tree from this release. I'm afraid I'd need to ask you to test multiple versions before we get to the solution as the patch that works with Beelink's MXQ doesn't work with HD18Q. I compiled another test build. Can I ask you to test it? Of course you don't have to reset your settings to factory defaults, an upgrade with no data wipe should always work. http://s805.eu/releases/test/hd18q_mac_test/
