        Greetings everyone!

I think I have a HD18Q OTT MXQ, and all works great apart from the sound. Wifi works well. A few others seems to have the problem of no sound until you unplug the HDMI and reinsert. Did anyone come up with a solution? Have tired 4 different HDMI cables. Flashed both the MXQ and HD18Q version. It sadly does not currently pass the wife test.

Also are these boxes capable of switching to the 24 Hz mode of the TV?

        Thanks!

          Hi

I am new to all of this but have had a good read of everyone opionons, It seems like there is a great deal of help and advice being given out in here, I have an MXQ all black at the moment and could never get any game controller to work, yesterday with the aid of a few guides on here I managed to put a rom on from superceleron's guide, now i know this is for the S85 version which is the reason why my xbox controller works but my RC doesnt. Today i came across this which has the ROM for my black version. I will try this tonight. When switching from one ROM to any other do i need to have a fresh start first or can i just overwrite?
I puchased some retro NES and NES USB controllers and wondered how i would get them to work too?
I have also ordered the S85 version as it seems like this might be the better box.

          Thank you

for anyone with a black MXQ with a realtek 8189es wifi, I made a build that seems to have working wifi. if anyone want to test it out... kszaq work is by far better then mine so this is only till he gets back.

Incredible work mate, so far so good wifi working, I am. Not sure if It's me. But video playback seems like it's almost playing sped up.

Have you tried to switch the TV's input (source button on remote) to other HDMI port then back to the one with the box? that should resolve the "no sound" issue (better than unplug/reinsert ).

I used to have this issue in earlier version, but not any more since updated to 5.0.8.20.

I love this project, it has very good performance. I am running on a mxq box. The only minor gripe I have is with skip forward, skip back, fast forward and rewind. Unlike kodi on the android the screen goes black and its hard to see where one is until one restarts play. Does anyone else have this issue? I have a cheap clone I got for $25 off amazon.

Yes, I had that that on most of the versions I tried. I can only use version 5.0.3, since it is the only version that doesn't do that.

Hi, after installing openelec on my mxq (red mx logo on top, netxeon hardware) everything works fine, but i want remove the google tv logo and replace with another. Using aml-imgpack.py and adb shell 'dd if=logo.img of=/dev/block/logo' will apply the new logo but the image displayed is "confuse". I've search for a solution but without success, someone can explain me what i'm wrong? I think that python script doesn't work in my case because if unpack and repack without make any change and flash it, i have the same result, wrong visualization of the image.

                            Can someone help me please.

                            I'm using OpenELEC-Amlogic.TV110.arm-5.95.5.2 on my S805 device.

I have a Mygica T230 TV tuner which is only supported on Kernel 3.19, since this is Kernel 3.10 it needs drivers. I looked at the drivers seem to be there but tvheadend doesn't see the tuner.

                            Code:

That is all it says when I plug the tuner in, what am I doing wrong?

Also why am I getting massive amounts of screen tearing in the UI?

                              Hi

After trying to install a rom, I am not getting anything on the screen any more, It is now saying "OUT OF RANGE" on my portable TV so i plugged it into my main TV and i am just getting a black screen, The light on the box is just staying red. It is the All Black MXQ.. anyone get any idea?

                              Thanks

try to unselect hardware codecs from system video hardware acceleration... should do the trick
