While that works, the video playback stutters and drops frames despite the fact the four cores sit at about 60% each. HW decoding plays perfectly and leads to about 20% on each core. I was playing via the mythtv pvr a h264 720p recorded on my hdpvr

Reinstalled again on the offchance and it's still not detecting my tv tuner properly, can someone please help me.

Done some quick checking and this tuner needs dvb_usb_cxusb.ko module which isn't in the kernel.

Where do I get it from.

                Hello.

I have tested USB tv tuner that is using popular chipsets - RTL2832U+R820T. E.g. http://www.aliexpress.com/item/USB2-...396245518.html
This tuner have been found in Tvheadend webgui, but I had stability problems with tvheadend and my black MXQ box. So I'm still using it with my old Asrock ION minipc with Kodibuntu.
I have used tvheadend build from experimental Weetek Openelec repository. I guess that this could be improved now after OpenElec 6.0 final release.

I have MXQ (with red text top) and the latest 5.95.5
I connect to my nas and tvheadend server via ethernet.
I use tvheadend client to watch TV channels with box.
                  I explore a interesting thing..
When i want to see recorded TV shows then the playback is choppy, not fluidly.
When I turn off wifi, the plays this files good (all of times I use ethernet wired connection)
So why play back recorded TV shows good or bad quality depend wifi is turned on/off, when my box connected to ethernet by cable?

                    Hey guys,

                    New to the forum.
I have been using this on my nexteon MXQ for awhile now and it works great! Thanks to kszaq for all the hard work!

I've recently bought the OTT MXQ off Amazon for the 4 usbs and wanted to load the NAND version. When I boot into recovery with the tooth pick method and try to update for ext (USB or SD) it is unable to mount them.

                    Has anyone run into this?

                    Thanks !

I was going to flash the nand OpenELEC 5.0.8.20. I also grabbed the beta release too just in case I wanted to try that one out.

Ah yes, but what I meant was, were you trying to flash the mxq rom or the hd18q rom?

                              Comment

Sorry. The hd18q rom since it was for the OTT all black mxq (4usb)

Like I was saying the main issue is it doesn't mount either my USB or SD in recovery ( dispite working in Android.) So I never really get to the point where I can flash anything.
