Sorry for not being very specific. It says MKV S805 on box but under android it says MKV S805P, Android version 4.4.2, and Kernel version 3.10.33. I extracted the image file and then restored the disk image using the Ubuntu disk utility. And the aml_auto script file, kernel, and system files are on the sd card after the process was completed. I then put the sd card in the MKV S805 and press and hold the button under the box to enter android recovery and press the power button. The blue light comes on and then Amlogic S805 Mali 4 Core square box grapic comes up on the screen for a split second and then the box light turns red like its been powered off or put into standby mode. Even if I don't press and hold the recovery button it still does this.

To install the openelec, you have to remove power cord, press and hold the button under the box, and plug the power cord. Just pressing the power button is not enough. In case it does not work, repeat the process holding both buttons (reset button under the box and power button in top of the box). I hope it helps..

mwp1,
Okay I held the power button and reset button and then plugged in the power and it booted openelec off the SD card. However as soon as I released the power button it turned off. I tried it a few more times but it wouldn't finish booting the sd card into openelec. It would just keep reloading the Isingard graphic on the screen and as soon as I release the power button it shuts off completely. Am I pressing and holding the power button for to long? Also, do you only have to do this once or do you always have to start it up that way to boot the SD card with openlec on it?

I forgot to mention that the older android firmware that I downloaded wasn't in a zip format it was in a rar format. So, It doesn't recognize the file when I am in android recovery..

Why would you need to overclock CPU in OE?

Like Guest said - no support for AV output in my builds.
Thanks for checking. One question: have you tried doing a hard reboot (unplug power) after installing the test build?.
