+1 This ROM is superb - really liking my mx1 over my mk808 no doubt about it.
One question though - the reboot app when I shutdown the unit just restarts - doesn't happen on my mk808 guessing its kernel related. Do I just quickly unplug when the screen gos black?

Yes the MK808 kind of supports a shut down. Of course to power it back up you have to unplug it and plug it back in. The ug802 and MX1 do not. They just boot back up. So yes when the screen shuts off, unplug it.
It's actually not the kernel. It's hardware in the MK808 that allows this.

on the original rooted firmware ..i used quick reboot and it was able to turn off the device..had to unplug and plug it back again.. i havnt tested quick reboot on this rom.. it should work if it worked on the original rooted firmware unless something was changed in the kernel in this rom..

ok please ..can someonle tell me why is my video jerky at times.. seems to be dropping frames or something..i have tried, mx player, xbmc, default player, and some other.. what m i doing wrong..do i need to chnage some setttings .. the video file playes well on my pc please advice

It flashes OK and boot on ug802 but no wifi and that cannot be fixed as they use different wifi hardware and MX1 has it built into the kernel.

Can't get it to flash

Hi guys,

I came to the MX1 from the UG802 which was a great lil device with Bob's ROM. Got the MX1 and no matter what I try, it won't flash. I just get the Flash failed error. Have tried different ports, cables and two computers, including the one where the UG802 flashed fine.

After tinkering, I finally got the "Found Rockchip Mass Storage message, but no go from there. Has anyone had this problem and managed to fix it??

Flashing from Linux

Hello, i am new to this forum and this device. I am trying to flash the custom ROM in the first post, but i do not have a windows PC. I've tried using WINE and VirtualBox XP virtual machine with no success. I also have no optical drive. Is there any way to flash this rom from within Linux Mint?
