please, I need help.
please share your ideas. I'd like to see if it will work before I go and buy another hub.

Install "Terminal Emulator"

Then plug in your usb Hub. Type in: dmesg
Post the log (last important lines)

Do a "lsusb" and lets see.

I got the output of dmesg on a screenshot (will attach it now)
in the first screenshot you can see dmesg output and "lsusb" output when usb hub is connected.
in the second screenshot you can see "lsusb" output when hub is not connected.

On my USB hub there are 2 usb devices connected:
1. keyboard + air mouse
2. webcam

Skype - 1 step closer - but no video

well - nearly there - i can see caller and both can talk to each other - so mic is now working, video recongnised (ie: skype detects and enables) but nothing coming through.... driver i suspect - its a logitech quickcam pro 9000 model.

any thoughts anyone please?

It seems that your hub is ok.
maybe the hub is passiv? and does not have enough power for webcam.

is keyboard + air mouse working without usb-hub?
is cam working without usb hub? (you need to enter android via remote to check i think)

SSHDroid is good to access android with putty via SSH.

Today I just got a new USB hub (no external power on this model also)
it works !

The old USB hub doesn't work (even with external power) where it could work with original MK802
new USB hub works on MK802 III with no external power.

Installed and working properly with 1080p kernel.

Now icons and text are much smaller on screen and this might be a problem depending on the sofa-TV distance.

Not found any problems or errors, everything is working flawless

Try to change display density. I used "density changer" app and changed my density to HDPI. Now resolution is still 1080p but the fonts and e.g. Netflix subtitles are big enough fot 10ft watching :-)

Please don't use DPI bigger then 240 !!!
Or You will get errors in many programs like Google Play market they don't know how to show content's when DPI > 240 !!!

Maybe i should change my USB Hub too, because i can´t get running the USB-LAN Adapter Chipset MCS7830.

Impossible to install, tried with 4 different PC, allwyas the same message : "driver not found". I say on stock ROM

Re-Flash issue....

First off, let me say Thank You to Alex & Bob for this ROM! Works great!! I appreciate the work you've done!

I had zero issues doing the initial flash (on Win8 PC, got drivers installed blah blah blah). I initially set the kernal & boot for 720 w/no OC.

Tested device, installed some apps from market etc... No issues.

But wanted to test the 1080 kernal/boot. Went back through settings, but I cannot "Reboot To Flash Mode". I do have the "Connect to computer" and "Mass storage" set (reset them (off then back on) just to verify, but when I click on the "Reboot to Flash Mode" button, I now get a small "prompt" diaglog box w/ "Flash Mode Failed"

How do I get around this to get back into flash mode so I can change kernal & boot image?

Any thoughts?

Is there any way to lower the CPU speed for people who don't have heatsink and/or fans? I have an MK808 running at 1080p and it's a bit slower but once you start using it is fine. I believe in the build.prop you can set the speeds? Not sure, so I ask before I try it.

Funny, older device UG802 has newer version 1.7, the Mk808 has 1.5, and newest device iMito MX1 has older version 1.4 Makes sense since versions go up after updates meaning more time has passed...

Is there any way to permanently disable status bar? I use hardware keyboard so I don't really need it, and it makes sort of a mess with mvideoplayer and mxplayer. Sometimes it crashes and won't come back, sometimes it won't disappear, in mvideoplayer subtitles leave artifacts... Etc
For me best option would be to permanently kill it. Any ideas?

If you flashed my ROM once then in the APPs list is a reboot app I added tpo make it eaiser from that poin on to get into flash mode. Use that and select reboot bootloader. Now you will be in flash mode!
