MK808 - Finless 1.6 Custom ROM

For the RK remote APP you HAVE to be on the same network! That is the IP address first 3 numbers have to be the same. For instance 192.168.2.x
Both the MK808 and your tablet/phone have to be on this same network. If your try over say 3G or something, it is not going to work.

Thanks Bob for all the work you put in this rom, my only problem is the display in games or emulators nothing is fluid there's something like frame drops or stuttering in every one I tried.

From what I've seen the Archos Gamepad don't has this problem, is it my unit or a general problem with this stick ?

BTW I've found how to fix the rotation problem in some games with Xbox 360 wireless pad, for those

hi,
can anyone tell me how to use mouse and keyboard or my xbox 360 controller to play dead trigger without getting joystick center for almost 4€?
when i put my xbox 360 controller to an usb port i can navigate with it on website etc. but it does nothing in dead trigger
when i use mouse and keyboard i can only walk around by keys but i cant look around or shoot using mouse

LAN USB needs reset

Thanks again for the great rom Bob - runs excellent. I did find one glitch that is a minor issue. Whenever I turn my MK808 off and then back on again the LAN USB adapter needs to be unplugged and plugged back in. It does not recognize the connection upon start up.

Same on the MX1 rom.. or you can just go to settings and toggle ethernet on/off and it will work again.

turning off and on using airmouse powerbutton

once powered up i can turn the device off using the airmouse, i can also turn it back on within a certain amount of time, but if left for a while the device becomes unresponsive to remote control ie it wont turn on.
anyone else having a similar issue? what could be a fix, get a different remote?

also ive desoldered the gnd connection on the aerials properly but no improvement on reception.
i will next solder a seperate wire for gnd as recommended, and hopefully that will give me best reception. however if it is no good can you guys recommend some external antennas i could mod to the unit please, thanks.

Hi Bob, thanks for your ROM, I find it much more useful than stock one. Video quality is amazing!

Is there any way to scale screen independently vertical and horizontal?

I plugged MK808 to monitor with native resolution 1280x1024, so that in 720p mode 720 pixels scaled to 1024 and it looks a bit ugly.

In stock rom there is system utility which can scale output image independently, but it has not enough scale range, so that i can't get pretty look output with "square" pixel.

Freezing and Rebooting since moving to 1.6

Hi Bob (and also let me add my thanks for a wonderful ROM). My first upgrade to 1.5a was flawless and I used it for long periods of time. I just upgraded to 1.6 and am finding that after about 1 minute after the launcher screen appears, the ROM will either freeze or sometimes it reboots. It does not feel very hot (just slightly warm). I have tried setting the screen resolution down to a lower setting. I have also reflashed (erased and the flashed) a second time. Any suggestions will be welcome.

Only odd thing I can mention about the flashing process that I had, was that the drivers were installed for XP from my previous 1.5a installation but the Flash tool still never found the ROM. So I followed the steps to reinstall the drivers, and rebooted both, but the Flash tool would still not find it. It only found the ROM if I used the paper clip method to boot into flash mode. So seeing the drivers were installed, I did my erase and flash whilst it had booted with the paper clip. Everything ran through fine with no errors. It did reboot into 1.6.

Not sure if there is anything else I could try wiping or formatting? I don't think it can boot into a graphical recovery mode? I do have adb though.

This is my first post. I have got my MK808 few days back. I tried to flash the FINLESS ROM 1.6 from yesterday. I am getting this below error when I click "Reboot to Fash Mode" button from the Finless ROM Flash Tool.

"Device can not do Flash Mode, because it is not msc device"

Am I missing something? Please help me with this issue...

use second way to go into flash mode (press hardware reset button - plug miniUSB from computer into OTG port - release button), after that when both windows and RomFlashTool successfully recognize your device - press "Erase NAND" and continue following step-by-step guide as well.

And of course before start flashing you should install correct driver.

I do not know, I've flashed forty thousand times, I fed the two chargers for other than one of 1A and a 2A, I fed tb by OTG port, and follow the screen in pink.
