For the acore error. I noticed that too while making the ROM. Something odd in the stock kernel.
However once I set the time zone manually, that stopped happening.

Is there a chance to get a rom like the UG802 "original" version?
Hi everyone
After all I rooted my device some weeks ago following these instructions:
http://androidpc.es/blog/2012/09/26/rootear-un-rk3066/ for rooting
http://foro.androidpc.es/showthread.php?tid=482 for CWM
With CWM I made a rom backup.
I wanna ask if there is a way to get a Finless Bob rom like the one that works perfectly in the original UG802, that will be so good.
Thanks!

stuck on boot
sorry if im writing this in the wrong forum, but i have a UG802 and when i plug it in to my tv, it just gets stuck on the RBOX boot logo, so i have tried to flash it and use the rockchip batch tools, but my device appears as a dark blue box on the RBT, and when i try to Reboot to flash mode its says, Device can not do Flash Mode, because it is not msc device, any help with this would be amazing, and since i am unable to get past the boot logo, the device's debugging mode was turned off, so i have no way to turn that back on

So it's not just AMPs folks. I think these cheap units are just too damn noisy! Alas this means investing in a good power supply.
My reccomendation:
3 Amp Switching Power supply not a cheap wall wart! Yes this can cost you upwards of $20.
Bob
SOMEONE needs to listen to these power supplies with an rf Spectrum Analyzer!!!!
...While it is operating under load...
Leolas has mentioned using an rf choke on the power supply cable. Probably a good idea!

hey,
neocode identified my device as mk802IIiS clone. here is seller's image:
it's locked to 1200mhz top speed and i cant get the logitech webcam which people share as working to work. i was about to flash the 1.7 old finless rom. is this one of the devices you mentioned?
btw, i was able to root the device with no problems..
edit : when i launch an app called cpu identifier, it sees my device as TV BOX STick ug007/mk809
thanks i n advanceLast edited by genseric; 19 April 2013, 01:57.

AW: WARNING, NEWS, and ROM - New model UG802 different wifi!!
Try to connect your Camera on the OTG Port.
This make my Logitech Cam to Work.
The locking to 1.2 GHz came from the Kernel.
You can try to flash the omega moon kernel.
This will unlock your Device.
But when you want to do this you must place a heatshink on the CPU.

Something to consider about rtl8188eus
Hi,
I've been trying to get wifi working on my 802-2 unit. I've tried Finless and Finless dark 1.7, Finless 1.7 Beta 1-3, and Finless 1.8 Beta. It works on stock very well. And, for one brief minute, it worked on Finless 1.8 Beta. Then it froze, and when I rebooted, it was gone. I'm reasonably certain that the problem is somewhere in the init scripts. The RTL8188EUS is on the OTG usb bus. The OTG port has to be in host mode in order to access the chip. My guess is that there's code in the stock rom init scripts that ensures this before the device scan. I've pulled the init scripts from both Finless 1.8 Beta and the stock rom, and will see if I can spot anything. I just thought I'd pass this on.
Thanks,
Dave
