I can now confirm that a brand new Tronsmart can do 3D BluRay with HD audio perfectly. I use Total Media Theatre 6. I did not re-install Windows, just installed TMT6 and some other SW.

Hi all,

I think only one reliable way to check if there is possible support for hd codecs passthrough is:
- right click on speaker/volume icon ( https://helpdesk.flexradio.com/hc/en...ng_device1.png ),
- select "Playback Devices" ( https://helpdesk.flexradio.com/hc/en...ng_device2.png ),
- click on your Onkyo/Denon receiver (should be listed),
- go Properties
- check "Encoded Formats" section for supported codecs.

I'm going to return my box as well. Apart from the power button and the USB 3.0 issues, three days ago the box froze completely while using Kodi and I had to turn it off, and yesterday the box suddenly turned off while watching a video in VLC...

This is a follow up on my Ara X5 that died Monday, today is Thursday and Tronsmart just delivered my new box to my door via UPS. That is just fantastic service............Way to go Tronsmart......

Looks like Intel devs decided to cut-off HD audio passthrough at driver level for Atom (I'm curious is it the same for latest Celeron/Pentium) based PCs... I don't believe it is hardware limitation.

Windows update can be a little hit and miss on any machine.

Can you check other services to prove or eliminate windows update as the issue.
