The product seems great but I have issues for the BT :
I have a small BT keyboard which work fine with my old laptop.
The ara can detect it (but it takes time) but when connected it works only for 20s, you have to go back to the windows bt research window to get it back a bit, but unstable ... I saw the keyboard "connected" status but once it glimbsed to driver pb.

Anyone, maybe related to the post above.

Will try with the broadcom tool. Windows says the driver is up to date ...

I have the same problem. I am using the type of keyboard pictured below. It seems to work while ever the bluetooth window from settings is open. As soon as the settings windows is closed, the keyboard stops working.

I don't have a bluetooth keyboard but I have a BT enabled soundbar and also some BT headphones which work well for me.

When it comes to BT I always disable the power management settings in any BT controller and as some are linked to the WiFi module I do it there too.

It will be very interesting to see how much disk space is left after your installation as I would have expected a WIM image for W10.

I have noted that there is a recovery partition on the X5 but it's only 450Mb, which does seem rather small.

Lol, I have exactly the same keyboard, not the same box but you know that with the chinese products it may come from the same factory.

Edit 2 : it works, just had to disable auto sleep of devices on the properties of bt radio.

In case anyones interested I picked up this targus chill mat from amazon for 7 bucks. Its a pretty much a mini version of a laptop cooling pad, it also doubles as a base, is USB powered and wide enough to fit two tv boxes. Pretty damn cool imo. - http://amzn.to/1KGL4ho

DHL is the normal method that I use and Geekbuying seem to have a knack of sending things without the need for Customs and Import duties applied but it may well be a lottery as to who gets stung and the same would be true of any carrier.

DHL are certainly very fast.

Not tried Popcorntime because it's illegal here.

Have you tried using Kodi and an addon or downloading it and then watching it through Kodi?

When playing high bitrate files using standard players such as VLC, Potplayer etc they don't work very well, even after installing some codec packs, so personally think that we will have to wait for a driver update.

But for me, the fact that Kodi does all that I want I'm not bothered about the rest at the moment.

Good question im not entirely sure but it doesnt appear to be too much since I can run it just fine by plugging into the ara x5 directly. The fan themselves arent 100% silent but they are nearly inaudible from 3ft so if you have your box in a living room you probably wouldnt be able to hear it from the distance between your couch / tv.

From the image I though that it had it's own ac adapter but if it runs directly off the USB alone then it won't be drawing much.

When you get a moment can you see what temps get recorded on the X5 with a stress test for 15 mins or so?

I've not experienced any issues with temps on mine but somebody else reported it getting to 89C after 15 mins on a stress test, so it would be interesting to see just how much cooling the mat provides.

Some streams have a green bar on top. Not all, most don't. Didnt figure it out yet. Wasn't bothered because there were plenty streams.
