The wifi on 4.2.2 pipo rom won't start.
I have an usb to ethernet adapter, but for now i don't have a little usb hub to attach also the keyboard and mouse.
tomorrow if i find a usb hub, i can see from adb wireless the logcat and try to undertstand why the wifi won't start
without an usb hub i can attach only a mouse or the usb to etherent adapter.
p.s.
i tested also another working rom on t428 today, but the wifi don't work like the pipo rom

Do this and supply it
Install android terminal emulator or do this via ADB. Commands are the same.
We want a dmesg output and a logcat.
Boot up the stick. Don't do anything yet. Let the system calm down after boot.
Then in terminal type
su
logcat -c
(we are clearing logcat from the huge amount of boot crap in it).
Now go try and turn on wifi and wait till it fails or whatever.
Then do
logcat > /sdcard/logcat.txt
Now do this
dmesg > /sdcard/dmesg.txt
Copy these off sdcard and post them for download.

By the way... same issues we have had for a long time on the MK808B.
Some of the wifi driver source has NEVER been supplied!
So we can compile the kernel for the MK808B but no wifi and BT because we do not have the proprietary sources.
Hoping the 3188 devices wifi chip is not the same issue!

not sure if I am reading it right but dmesg look like it keeps trying to launch drivers for mt5931 which must be internal wifi of m9? - I didnt realize I had to ctrl + c to stop the logcat myself lol so sorry if its really big
Would it be easier to add support for an external adapter ike 8192cu then try to port wifi stuff from the stock t428 roms

OK wait..... What exactly are you doing here?
Exactly specifics. Is this your own ROM kernel and system?
Bottom line thete is some problem with permissions.
You can see it in DMESG every time over and over.

So glad to hear the good news.
Very happy to see the source come out so quick. xbmc, ubuntu, and android mods will hopefully come soon. This news made me very happy indeed. So if you guys figure out the bluetooth and wifi, could you potentially work with the bluetooth stack to make the stick a bluetooth receiver for hfp profile? The reason why i ask this is that it would be great to answer cell phone calls from tv or car setup, or stream music to the stick from your phone via bluetooth.

What also has me confused is why is the modules folder from the pipo rom still even in the one I put together lol, it was supposed to be replaced with the one from the t428 rom!? I mustve flashed wrong system.img which might also explain why it hasnt been working. I got too much shit on my desktop from this past week imma delete everything and just start over with a new one. WIll post it later once I have it all working.
Get the t428 modules and delete mk5931.ko
After rename rkwifi.ko to mk5931.ko
You must use also the /etc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf of t428
Use also the /etc/firmware of t428
P.s.
I used the original pipo rom as base. Not the previous linked by you. Your rom have inside strange kernel and strange boot image

I tried to re-dl stock p9 rom too to try with that boot.img but the link has gone to shit an download will take 14 hours. So i wont be able to help muchLast edited by alwaysbless; 08 June 2013, 17:08.
