This is based off TEST9 which is rooted cramfs but now has GPlay injection.

OK after you test Gplay TEST 11, here is my first crack at system RW using aufs.

Not even sure it will work or not.

This ROM is test 11 with Gplay and injected aufs. If this boots, you should be able to go to /system and be able to copy a file into /system. Whatever your using you may have to remount system as RW???? I use Root Explorer from the market. You open system and at the top it will say how it is mounted. If it says RO try pressing the mount as RW button.

If that does not work this is my understanding of how aufs work. Look for another folder called /data/sysrw
How this is suppose to work is sysrw is a mirror of /system anything you change in /system is reflected in sysrw. Together they fool the file system into thinking they are one and the same. But since I cannot test this I just do not know for sure. The Froyo ROM I took this from just sys /system is RW. Makes me wonder if Petrus' APP Injector will work on this thing!

Oh I also readjusted the parameter file to give you back some memory. So lets hope I did not make too many changes at once again

Test 11 flashed and booted REALLY slow, but finished.

Play Store is there but talk is not.
When I open Play it says I must have an account on the device. I set up the Email w/Gmail.
Open it again and get same message. When I tell it I Yes to set up account it closes out play.


I will try Test 12 in about an hour.

Once you get a Gmail account setup, then when you run the store dont try to setup again. Click the sign in to account button instead.

First boot my take a while maybe next boot wont take as long?
If it is taking longer still on 2nd boot, it maybe the mirroring of /system to give you RW. I guess thats the price to pay. Did you see if you can now write to /system? If not the insmodd of the aufs.ko module may not be working. Only looking at logcat will tell us.

It does not matter what I do for Play. I added Gmail account under the Email tab. When I open Play it still says "You must add an account to the device to continue. Do you want to add one now?" I have tried hitting both yes and no, but all that happens is Play closes. I deleted the Email account and tried again, then opened Play and it will not allow me to add it thru Play. There is no "sign in" option.

Titanium Backup installed just fine. Did not try Terminal Emulator.

Further power ups have resulted in much faster boot times.

Damn.,... we are getting to the point where it will get much harder for me to make ROMs without having this damn tablet. I have no clue why Gplay is not working. The files I have say for Froyo and above.

Sorry are you now running my test 11? See if you can copy a file into /system please. Just because Titanium is OK does not mean you have RW to //system. So use some kind of root file explorer (ES FIle explorer is free but make sure you go into settings and turn on root and hidden files), and see if you can copy a file into /system. We need to see if system is RW now.

If it is I may have you try App Injector.

OK I am making another ROM. I think Gplay may work now.

It will probably start up as Market but hopefully will upgrade. I will want some APK from you if it does.

OK new aufs ROM with Gplay. Well actually older files so it maybe "Market". Lets get this working then I will see if I can update to Gplay directly in the ROM. YOU may in fact get it to update you automatically IF you can get logged on to Market. If it does, I will want you to save the APK in /data/app for me.

Once you flash do this so there are no screwed up system files.
1) Connect to wireless FIRST
2) Go to apps and make sure TALK shows up in apps. If not, still try the market.
3) There maybe a google play icon or a "market" icon. Let me know which shows up.
4) Run it and since you now have a google account click YES to add a google account. The next screen SHOULD give you 2 buttons. Create account or sign in. Choose sign in.

As always flash as a full ROM. Yes first boot will take some time.
