I am running into problems when I load it.
It loads up fine but it is immediately clear that it can't access the network resources because.
No RSS feed working, no way it can access Kodi's repositories and when I try to access Settings > System Information it blows up and I am back to Android desktop.
Here's a log that I managed to paste to pastebin.

Hope it can help to understand why it won't work fine.
    Thanks in advance.

the net i found the problem

      Code:
"ERROR: Unable to load /data/app-lib/org.xbmc.kodi-1/libcurl.so, reason: Cannot load library: soinfo_relocate(linker.cpp:975): cannot locate symbol "DES_set_odd_parity" referenced by "libcurl.so"
I did update curl long time a go and it looks like the new version is not compatible with droid 4.2...
Or is the *ssl*.so binaries on the droid 4.2 that are 2 old!

        Thanks mate.
Will keep an eye out here in case you find something in the log.

Yes, it works ok. Except that it misses the tweaks you guys are making on FTMC.

Ouch. So does that mean that I am doomed and I can't use FTMC on this box? No workaround?
          Thanks in advance

            Nop! sorry
I found a old 3066 here with droid 4.2 and no go... min is droid 4.4 now!

              Hi, Luis.
You mean that you've tested with your RK3066 which is 4.2 and that FTMC also didn't work on it?
You also say your droid is now 4.4. On which one? Not on the RK3066 I assume because you said that one also doesn't handle FTMC.
Apparently this means that FTMC now requires 4.4KK. Is that it?
And there's no hope on finding a 4.4 or 5.0 ROM that works on AMLogic 8726-M6, right?
If only EmbER would work on my Tronsmart Prometheus.....

Yes i tested on mine rk3066 droid 4.2 and no go, the ssl libs on it are 2 old
and i cant go back now on the libcurl... 2 much work and not wort the hassle...
So KK 4.4 min(maybe 4.3 dunno about that one)...
And hope of finding a 4.4 for that chip are slim if not impossible!
                Sorry m8

                  Hi Luis.
Thanks for the thorough explanation. And for the effort you put on trying to help me.
                  Cheers

As far as the AMLogic 8726-M6 and 4.2, If you take the libcurl.so out of the FTMC Build 20 and put it in the /data/app-lib/org.xbmc.kodi-1/ directory the Network becomes active.

I tested it on a Matricom G-Box 8726 Amlogic and a rk3188 Tronsmart CX-919 with 4.2 android install and it does work if you replace the libcurl.so, The one that comes with Build 23 is 357.43kb the one from Build 19 or 20 is 1.77MB .

The Settings - Services - UPnP / DLNA Enable AirPlay support has to be turned on and you have to manually add UPnP Media Servers (Auto-Discover) to the sources.xml file to get UPnP to at least see the Servers but it does work.

                    I hope this is helpful

                      Extremely interesting.
                      Just a couple of questions.
That folder /data/app-lib/org.xbmc.kodi-1/. Where does it come from? From other XBMC/Kodi installs on the system, right? So if I replace that file in that folder will SPMC still work? Because I'd like to try FTMC but I would also like to keep SPMC as a backup working solution.
OTOH you're saying that I should use Build20 libcurl.so. Why Build20 and why not Build23? Just curious. ;-)

So, you mean UPnP should work but this is not the regular behaviour, right? I mean, I don't remember ever having to fiddle with xml files in order for it to work.
Thanks for your input. You've been very helpful.
                      Cheers

                        yes that also works!
And why build 20 and not the others 21/22/23 because i was doing a dirt compile... this means i was not compiling everything and since i update curl in build 2 if remember correctly it dint catch up until i did a full clean build witch i did in build 21
Upnp im still thinking if i go back to the old way!

So, I do need to use libcurl.so from build20.
superceleron in future builds will you go back to compile libcurl.so the way you did with build20?
Overwriting libcurl.so has any effect on other versions of Kodi installed like SPMC?
                          Cheers

                              Hi Superceleron,

                              First, your work is awesome!

I have read all the post for this thread about the FTMC and I have got that you don't plan to update to Kodi 17, so, now that Kodi 17 is final, and that we cannot have installed Kodi 17 and FTMC at the same time, can you considerer to modify FTMC (his ID and paths, I guess?) to we can install these 2 good applications at the same time?

I know that it can give you a little of work, but it is a one time work, an I'm sure that me and a lot of people will be very happy if you can do it for us.

                              Regards

This is getting worse, when watching anything over internet it crashes, and it's not addon-related. Over a Youtube URL there is no problem at all, but sometimes and over certain urls it just crashes, nothing shows in the logs, so I cannot know what is going on. What I can see in the logs is "MSGQ_NOT_INITIALIZED" every time that I play something and "CSettingsManager: unable to load setting "videoplayer.rkcodec.mpeg2"" (also with "vp9" and "frachdmi"). What can be done about this errors?
