I think the launcher will have to be updated for that but will let everyone know and release a new firmware if needed.
Thank you mo123 - Your work is always most satisfying!

Anyone tested the new NTMC Kodi and also tried it's external MXPlayer and Stock video Player & compared the three?
Is it a useful feature for playing high bitrate 4K videos?
It works quite fast to switch to the external player, I was surprised.

People that had pass-through problems, everything is now set up correctly, you only need to
      - Set 'HDMI Bitstream' in Android Settings &
      - Select your audio setup in NTMC Settings eg. dts, DTS-HD, True-HD etc.

Also compatible with Ugoos UT4 devices.

Hello Mo123. As always thanks for your great work and help. I have the Tronsmart. On 1.2 NMTC worked fine for me with the audio but there i had the problem that it didn't see a lot of hard drives. On 1.4 all my hard drives are seen(only when i use one hdd at a time) but audio passthrough doesn't seems to work anymore. In the general settings of the box i put the audio output on hdmi bitstream and in NTMC all audio codecs i am using are enabled. It also didn't work on the stock video player. Is this because of the Tronsmart?

Google hasn't fixed the bug for multiple USB devices for several years now.
On other forums I also read of the problem.
If I find a solution I will include it in new firmware.

Is sync to display disabled in NTMC/Kodi?
          You aren't using SPDIF pass-through?
I think there is a bug with SPDIF.
In newer firmwares ac3/dts might be removed from the stock player because of licenses.
Please just test latest Tronsmart firmware and see if Kodi sound works here
I also send you a link to NTMC that you can test on the Tronsmart firmware, just to rule out it's a Kodi issue, need to uninstall the included one first.

Hi Mo, can the new NTMC Kodi be pulled out and shared as a separate apk?

Hi! Have test V1.4 on Tronsmart R68 work! But no work DTS-HD.
Have select in setting Android "BITSTREAM" and Kodi app PASS-THROUGH, only "PLII SURROUND" sound work.

Tronsmart is a leading brand innovating cutting-edge audio products such as speakers & headphones with premium sound quality.

In my firmware also change 'keep audio device alive' to 'always' in Kodi and test.

                      Hi Mo,
Had been trying the different version of firmware starting from V1.0. Have to say really appreciate your constant efforts for trying to improve its features and functionality with each update.
Just a noob question and observation with each firmware update. The application will see the tv box as a brand new device as its device id in the app is different. What is the causes and the changes that make the application see the tv box as a new device. Thanks

You can try to use an app like this if you need a unique device id.
I think it changes because tv boxes don't have GSM cellular and other chips that are normally found in cellphones that are built-in.
Then it generates a random one.

It might cause problems for some IPTV but most IPTV services only use your mac address and that stays the same in my firmware and you can also
flash a custom mac address with the Upgradedlltool to make it static and not change.

Hi mo123 - It was only per-chance I saw the 1.4 update. Please in the future, make a new topic so we can all catch it

I have tested the update and unfortunately the weather widget still does not work.

Thank you again for all your hard work on this excellent hardware!
                            kind regards

I posted previously in the thread that I made an update.
The thread will now be renamed v1.4 and also be made a sticky thread.
So the first post, the sticky thread under 'Nagrace RK3368' will always contain the latest firmware.
Also make sure you subscribe to the thread, then when there are new posts, you will receive a message or email and be easily aware of new updates.
I thought of making separate threads, but there will be so many threads and I think having 1-3 sticky threads that stay there will be easier for new users to find.

I will also release v1.5 firmware again that will fix the weather in the launcher and have an updated Kodi with some fixes.
I already released the updated launcher and Kodi for HPH NT-V6 RK3288.
