      Maybe another update tomorrow, lol.

      The weather displays now.
As I understand it, it uses your IP address and Yahoo weather, also used OpenWeatherMaps but that expired.

I just want to see if that is not perhaps the problem with Kodi crashing as your device might not read/write fast enough sometimes.

IN NTMC Kodi, you can also try disabling 'Blu-ray optimise' setting under the NTMC menu and also try with disabling 'RKCodec' then the video will play back with Mediacodec.
Then press 'o' on an airmouse or USB keyboard, take a screenshot of it while the Blu-ray video is playing, then we might see if it is a certain codec the video uses that might cause problems if not working better.
If the video is still giving problems, you can send me a link to the video or a similar one with the problem by PM.

For reducing audio problems, make sure you change the volume up/down a bit and then keep it at the full volume.
You can reduce the volume with the tv remote if needed, but keep the Android volume at the full volume.
There was some bug in Kodi in the past and they suggest that that helps with some problems with pass-through audio, I can't remember what exactly.
Thanks for your reply Mo123. I will do those tests tomorrow. But i tried that "alternative" Kodi on my Tronsmart with the original Tronsmart firmware and there it runs fine. So i guess it's not the read/write speeds?

I discovered a change in the old firmware I didn't include in the new one.
It should make the new firmware more stable.
I will upload the final firmware later.
Hope it will help with the problem.
What Tronsmart device do you use, the R68 1G ethernet or 100mbps ethernet model?

mo123 I am using the 1G version. I ran firmware 1.3 and 1.4 on it as well and there NTMC didn't crash. Looking forward to the final release Next week when i have DTS:X i will do a test of all the audio options that were on the spreadsheet and will upload that spreadsheet.

Thanks again for the new firmware, Mo123! For me nothing changed. NTMC keeps crashing. I downloaded Kodi 17 Beta and it doesn't crash. But it doesn't have the HD options. The stock video player and MX player works great with the few tests that i did. Dolby Digital, DTS, DTS-HD, Dolby True HD and Atmos all worked. I will do more tests with other formats

I discovered something why NTMC crashes in my situation. When i don't enable passthrough in the audio setting then it plays but when i enable passthrough, then it. crashes right away.

                      For the crashing of Kodi.
Does it only happen with pass-through enabled?
With all videos even if it uses stereo?
Is there a test video or stream I can test?
Then I can get a Kodi log and see what the problem is.

You say the Kodi works perfect on another device, so then it must be a setting in the firmware I think.
Can you or someone perhaps get all the logs from this app, must be rooted first in Accessibility Options.
                      https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...l.syslog&hl=en

I think it is only a small problem and will be easy to fix once the cause is known.

That's correct, only when pass-through is enabled. When it's off then it plays the video.I tried blu-ray movies and a fe mkv movies and they all crashed. I will try to find a video with stereo and see what it does.
I will also try to find a small file so that you can test it too. I will also try that program to get all the logs.

Also try this kodi with pass-through.

I think the problem is the firmware might contain the older RK Kodi 15.2 patch also and it interferes with the new RK Kodi 16.1 one.

                              Can you upload again?
                              The link doesn't work.
                              Edit: Now it downloads

For the NTMC Kodi, can you get it's logs
                              log.txt, temp.txt or something.txt in
                              Android/data/org.ntmc.xbmci/files/.ntmci/userdata/
after you close it and it crashed?
