Scooters V88 pro Port...

i am about to order either the v88 or v88 pro. looking at the specs and what you guys have done with the v88pro firmware this feels like the natural choice, but when i look at online reviews of both boxes (stock firmware) i see highly different results of the wifi speed between those two boxes. the v88 ranges somewhere between 20 - 30 mbits download and the v88pro hetween 5 - 10. so i just want to know if this speed difference between those boxes is hardware related or if you guys could get the wifi download speeds up to 30 mbits on the pro version or something like that with this or kevins firmware?

If i was buying id look at the d5 or the nagrace 3229 for a budget box you cant go wrong. I wouldnt recomnent this even for the cheap price. 😂

Hi!
Your rom is great! But I have a small issue:
There is no hdmi cec control setting, therefore, when I put my TV to sleep, the player goes to sleep as well. After return from standby, after changing hdmi source, the player turns on again. What I would like to do is to have the player disregard the cec comand to go to standby, therefore stay always on as I did on original firmware.
How can I do it in this rom?

Hi scooter2014, I have a v88 pro 2-16 gb and I would like to change the firmware but I do not know how to do it where is the tutorial step by step where you explain how to do it? Is that I do not find it and I'm a little newbie and I need to know the step by step how to do it to not spoil the smart tv.

No answers in the first post. For example, i put the firmware file on the sd card and i try to flash it through the recovery, but it says that it can't access the system partitions (as if they were write-protected)

You need to flash in burning tool. But a novice should install this rom to install another you need to short pins to reflash a different rom or stock.

You have the same exact problem i have

1st post explains it. The only thing missing is how to use usb burn tool. Ill update it in a bit. Updated link to burn tool instruction first post. You dont need to push any reset button because the device doesnt have one simply put usb into the one single port by it self and device will be seen in burning tool. The link to switch back to any other firmware shows post with photos of what pins to short once you open the device is also on first post.

Hello, I have done the firmware installation and it is very good but I do not work the wifi, for more that what active does not recognize any available network and I put it back on non activated the wifi. How can I get it back?
I installed it on a v88 2G-16G S905X with Android 6.0.1.
I think the Wifi MAC address has been lost because I get 02:00:00:00:00:00, if so, is there any way I can get the Wifi MAC address? Because I know what I had, as I've been finding out I've seen that the cause of not recognizing MAC Wifi is why I put here below even if the article is a mobile:

Q: When I am Onboarding Android 6.0 devices I can see bogus MAC-Address ["02:00:00:00:00:00"] being updated on Onboard for few devices. Why is that happening and how can I fix it?

A: To provide users with greater data protection, starting in 6.0.x release, Android removes programmatic access to the device’s local hardware identifier for apps using the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth APIs. The WifiInfo.getMacAddress() and the BluetoothAdapter.getAddress() methods now return a constant value of 02:00:00:00:00:00.
To access the hardware identifiers of nearby external devices via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi scans, Quick-Connect app must be provided the ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION or ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION permissions.
