Try ver 2.5 of burn tool... Sometimes a bit of bugger to get to finish flash. Keep at youll get it...

And sadly, nope. Still not working. Fails at 98% for verify. This box did have scooter's rom on it so maybe shorting the pins borked the nand? Ah well, no loss really. I got the box for 20 bucks. It's not like I am going to complain and hold anyone but me accountable for its death! I don't even know if it would work with an sd card as i don't even get a display from it when it's plug in!

But would it work if I'm not getting a signal? And can I burn it to the nand with the burn tool, or do I need an sd card?

Being fed up with the original ROM i flashed your version. I wished i had done that sooner. Thank you so much for this.
The only annoying thing is that the remote can not power on the device after using the remote to power it "off" while the power key options are set to suspend and resume.

Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum. I would like to take this occasion to thank you Scooter for the very nice job done, he gave me the final thrust to proceed with my first ROM flash on my scischion V88 pro.
Following the guide I have successfully upload the "v88repack.img" on my V88 pro and I was a little bit surprised that I could perform the upload using the USB_Burning_Tool_v2.0.6.2 and a simple USB A-A cable, without needing to short the in next to the kingson chip.
I really appreciated the job done by scooter and I have to say that it brought the TV box to new life !!! THANK YOU!

Now my question comes, I was willing also to test some other Firmware images, but now I cannot get anymore to upload the firmware via USB cable, even applying the short on the Kingston chip then inserting the USB A-A cable; I just hear a whistle coming from the unit once I perform the short, but the device is not recognized on the PC-USB port. Is it a normal behavior? shall I perform the update in a different way?

Hi there, I'm considering buying a Scishion v88. I'm comfortable with flashing/modding etc. and will try the roms you shared here. I'll connect the device to cable ethernet and will use it to mainly stream max. 1080p videos from a server in the same LAN, maybe sometimes from YouTube etc.. Do you think I would be satisfied with this device or should I stay away from it?
