Also I forgot that I had already tried mk22 7.1 in May when I tried a few others & it didn't work then but yes other firmwares did. I was wondering if it only works on the box it's meant for? I know mk22 6.0 works on it cos I used it briefly

Hi, I have a sunvell t95z plus 2gb/16gb and just updated the firmware to 7.1.1 using the link above by Boneo. I lost wifi and bluetooth connectivity, anyone can provide me with files I need to flash in oder to restore them? I don't really need wifi as I am using it on LAN connection but bluetooth is required to pair with my headphones

          thanks so much!

            Boneo firmware is for
            q201:
            • SDIO WiFi/BT (AP6255) x 1
            not for
            q200:
            • SDIO WiFi/BT (AP6356S) x 1
The Firmware is included, but the kernel seams not to be compiled with that option.

and the old version was arm 32bit and the new one is 64bit.

Why I knowing that? Mounted the system img and read the android build.prop file.

Thanks for posting this! I flashed this on mine (2G/16G version) and it works brilliantly. It's version T5Z 1013 and still have bug where navigation bar does not come up once hidden.
I bought my box from Gearbest and it's the same firmware that came on box. which sadly got corrupted due to SuperSU binary update. So thanks for sharing.

For those who are interested: You can boot into TWRP and install Magisk v14 on this!
Here is thread in question, follow the second half of it and it should work!
{ROM} New Firmware: Sunvell T95Z Plus TV Box Android 7.1.1 with ROOT

Hello everybody, I have a T95Z Plus 3/32GB stuck on boot. I have started it on recovery and it shows firmware as:
                Amlogic / q201_3GB / q201_3GB
                7.1.1 / NMF26Q / 20170807

From what I read here, I should try Boneo's firmware which is for a q201 model. I've found this site claiming to have a more recent version (20170106), only that it is originally for the T95Z PRO, but they claim it will work on the PLUS model. What do you think?

Also, a guy in XDA has posted this ROM for the 3/32GB version. Not sure if it will work with every model around.
Can some one point me in the right direction for the firmware for a t95z plus firmware it's a amlogic s912 chipset with 2gb ram

I am mad that I have not been able to find my exact firmware around... it seems no one could get it yet.
New firmware for Sunvell T95Z Plus (20170106) powered by Amlogic S912. T95Z Plus runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

I have been able to save my box using the above firmware. Just pasted it in SD root and rebooted.
I tried to do it before that with another firmware and upgrade failed, and after that the box was nearly bricked. Luckily using the other file booted correctly and reinstalled a working firmware.

Hi Leandro - I have the same issue. Did you use the sd boot creation tool, or just copy the extacted files to a fat32 formatted SD card?
wasn't sure on your process. And you use the fw file: T95ZPLUS-3GB-v1072-JR9377

                    thanks... t

I cannot recall the exact contents of the file. If you have only an img file, you need to use the SD tool. If you have a zip, then check the contents and there should be an img file and two other files. You can paste those in the SD root and use it to reboot.
I am not sure now which was the case with the one I downloaded. I remember it was the 1077 version, though.

HI - yes it worked! What bricked my box was trying to unroot using SuperSU. After SuperSU ran trying to upgrade for over an hour, I reset and then it would not pass the boot screen. I could get in to recovery mode however. Here is what I did to recover and my setup...

                        Box T95Z
                        Original FW: Amlogic / q201_3GB / q201_3GB
                        7.1.1 / NMF26Q / 20170807

FW New: T95ZPLUS-3GB-v1072-JR9377 (this is the first choice from the site linked above, There are other versions there that may work on different boxes)
                        (3GB)
                        T95ZPLUS-7.1-912-3GB-17.3-v1072

                        Steps:
                        1) Create a boot SD card
                        2) Unzip the contents from the FW link
                        3) Copy the three files to root of the SD card
                        4) unplug the box & HDMI cable
                        5) Insert SD card in box
                        6) Take wood toothpick, cut the end so it's flat, not a point
                        7) Insert toothpick in AV jack, this is the reset switch, you should here a click
                        6) Hold the reset closed, apply HDMI cable and power in that order
                        8) You should see the android symbol, and then start to upgrade, release the reset

It did not go in to recovery mode, just started to upgrade. Took about 5 minutes, rebooted, played the boot movie, and then took another few minutes to load the system start up screen. DONE!

The new FW is different than the original as there is only the base apps, but I am sure you can reset up Kodi to your liking. It is Android 7.1.1.

                        Hope this helps others!
