Re: K-R42 Hybrid Firmware (HFW) 1.1.0 by lewy20041

I think the better solution is if lewy can repack his boot.img with the correct permissions. But I an not sure cause I never used cifs or nfs. Need to study about it.

i have no problems creating folder under /mnt/ using terminal an the code i posted
and i never had scince my first tv stick.
there is no need to mod boot.img
as i said before use cifs manager from play store and you will see that it will create a folder without problem
      in /mnt/
      the same go with terminal.
first type su and pres enter
      grant superuser permisions
type mkdir /mnt/nfs and press enter easy as that.
Everything is possible if we work together!

Good to know thay, I am a complete noob in cifs, nfs and xbmc, lewy has a lot of more of knowledge about this.
Lewy, a question, will. /mnt/nfs still there after a reboot?

Just reflashed the the Player with 1.1.2 and tried it again ...
Reboot twice and then ran the test again ...

I do as I was told with a Su then superuser comes up and I select Grant

I do the Follow : I go to System Settings ... I select terminal
          Then I type su
The I grant superuser rights for 15 minutes like the screen say
          then I do the following:

          mkdir /mnt/nfs
and it gens a error can not create
          If I do a :
          mkdir /data/nfs
          it works fine ...

Some thing is wrong ... I am Using the Android TV Box not the stick ..

I can Create /data/nfs no problem

But When I do mkdir /mnt/nfs it error

              Try:
              su
              mkdir mnt
              mkdir mnt/nfs

              Tell us if it works.

Hello Here is link to Video

                Hello All,

This shows that the data folder works fine and the mnt folder does NOT
The Superuser grant does not show because this is the second Time I did it in less than
                15 minutes ...

I used my phone so .... I will not win any awards ...

This does not work either :
                >su
                >mkdir mnt
                >mkdir mnt/nfs
                Folder is read only ...

/mnt is mount as readonly by default so you cannot to create file/directory in /mnt. To do that you have to remount / as readwrite.please try following:sumount -o remount,rw /mkdir /mnt/nfsmount -o remount,ro /it should work for you!

                      Hello All

                      Hello All,

Very Strange ... I just download the cifs manager
and ran it and it changed the rights on the /mnt folder so that the
                      mkdir command now works ...

Very strange ... it will not work unless I run cifs manager first

                      thanks all ...
