Wasser kernels I work in version 2.0.1, I burned wasser kernels on 2.0.2 for testing and not working. The strange thing is that it does nothing, it turns on the blue light and soon stops.

I'm the only one not doing the version 2.0.2? The device does not start and 2.0.1 is perfect.

I tried all the previous roms and the only one that does not turn the device is 2.0.2.

Hi, thank you for the update!

I tested 2.0.2. Very nice!! The new "change resolution" option is working very well and i was able to switch to 720p kernel

No HDMI issues
All apk i tested worked without problem.
Seems stable so far.
Edit: There is video stuttering problem when bar and mouse is hidden.

I just have one question.
Wasser said that the last kernels he posted are Overclocked kernels. What is the difference between the 2.0.2 and the previous released kernels? I know that CPU scalability is limited from 1.2 to 1.8 on this kernel. But what about ddr and gpu frequency? Do i have to put a heatsing to prevent instability? I notice the box runs a bit hotter than before. Not much, but noticeable.

with implemented swich resolution its just downscale apps launcher etc to 720p.
in next firmware real resolution sweech for 1080p and 720p kernel and also cwm.
all already working for me;p

I thought mine didnt start too, but then i realized that after i switched my TV off and back on, the HDMI signal detected correctly. Try switch on the device first and after 5-10 seconds switch on the TV.

I have the EXOON POWER PRO and under specifications they wrote:
MemoryHynix DDR3 2GB, Frequence:1333MHz

So can i set the ddr frequency manually or is it set to 1333MHz by you rom?

ddr frequency is set by kernel.
i dont know what frequency wasser used.
i used last wasser kernels posted here.

Just remember that 1333MHz is effective Duble Data Rate frequency. Nominal clock for these memory chip is 666MHz and I think that is set by kernel or mayby 600MHz = 1200MHZ DDR.
I think the highest safe overclock is 720MHz which will give 1440MHz DDR.

There should be some wasser kernel with that setting. I do not know any tool which will allow memory frequency change on the fly.

Observations on 2.02 for K-R42

I loaded 2.02 Beta on my K-R42 yesterday. Thanks for the hard work on the ROM lewy20041 and wasser, I'm delighted that DTS passthrough on SPDIF now works. Fantastic to get 5.1 surround sound at last!

Some additional observations:

Playing 1080P file, video seems to drop a frame at a regular interval, not exactly stuttering and watchable still, but definitely noticeable. Using 1080P 24Hz HDMI setting (as I'm writing this, I'm wondering if using the 60Hz might help with this, I'll try later). Same video plays smoothly on the PS3.

Doesn't seem as stable as 1.2.2. It froze requiring pulling the power cord on setting Google username and password during setup and also a few times in Netflix (using 16x bitrate version).

Google Play Movies loads but never plays movie. This seems odd as in the pre-release of 2.02 (not the official 2.02 on the first page of the forum) Google Play Movies was slow but did eventually play the movie. Might be something to do with wifi trouble though, see below.

This is the first ROM I have had wifi trouble. Getting very low speed connections to my router it will not use WPA2 or AES encryption and hence is not using wireless n speeds.

Getting static noise in XBMC on optical audio setting using the special version with pass through. Note, as mentioned, pass through works fine in MX Player and native player.

Cannot get XBMC to recognise video files on a USB stick. It doesn't seem to have any option to select this location, despite MX player and native player picking those files up without any problems. I'm new to XBMC so I might not be looking in the right place.
