Hello Wasser,

I thought there were two things that looked strange to Me ...

Inet6 ??? Must units use IPV4 NOT IPV6
I am no android expert But is Inet6 the same as IPV6 ??
and the error count ... Seem really high ??

My unit reboots for no reason about 2 or 3 times every 9 hours ...(maybe the error count is getting to high and causing a overflow math error ??)

I thought something Might Be wrong ...

But My network Access seems just fine ... I have no issues access my network share ...

Please note I am NOT over clocking ... I am using 2.0.4 with default settings...

Do You know how to Fix the issue ??? Is there something I can Change ?? to test ??

it is a bug in firmware. atm i have no idea how to fix. need to investigate

Are You going to Help Rebuild the kernal to work with the NEW Wifi/bluetooth Chip used in the
T-R42 System as I have one and am hoping to get a new firmware version that works with the
player ... as the current version does not... When the wifi errors it kills all networking both the wired ethernet and the wifi/bluetooth ...

I screwed Up my t-r42 by loading the firmware from Lewy2004 as I thought the to players were
compaible ... I am NOT the Only foolish one to do this and Now there are alot of people with players
that do NOT work because I was so excited to Have it I did NOT back it up before Reflashing ...

But, Please tell me if there is some thing I can Do to Help ??

I can Take it apart and take a picture of the PCB if You NEED me to??

It's almost impossible that LAN isn't working. Do not forget to disable WiFi in Settings because even if WLAN doesn't work it has precedence before LAN. It was opposite case in earlier HFW versions (1.2.2).


IMHO only in one case LAN wouldn't work on T-R42 box with K-R42 firmware. When designers changed routing on the PCB from default GPIO assigned as RMII which is rather implausible. Even use of different PHY LAN chip shouldn't have big impact on LAN functions.

No Wifi , NO Bluetooth and NO Ethernet ...

And that was With The Bluetooth and Wifi Off ...

Oh, I see now. They (Kingnovel) realy like to try new things .

In this design they used USB to LAN solution rather than RMII LAN PHY and build-in into RK3188 VMAC device. Good thing is that you would get constant and real MAC address. But first you must at least load kernel module with driver for ASIX AX88772 USB to LAN device.

P.S. I haven't got much time now but I'm almost sure that I saw some external modules for wasser kernel and there was asix.ko among them. You need it to ride ASIX beast . Source: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...61&postcount=2

could you please post the output of dmesg after you disable ethernet and turn on wifi?

Wifi Will NOT turn ON even after I turn off Wired Ethernet and Neither will Bluetooth
