Yes this is a good box, I also got a 1000g yesterday and am going to try it out. I had an a31 stick before and the video was noticeably better.

Some observations:

• Google Calendar doesn't work, it won't sync with your Google account
• The LAN icon flashes on/off quite randomly but it seems like the LAN connection isn't lost
• Google Play Music All Access got problems (but people also write about that in another thread)

Just got the K-R42 and flashed the 1.2.2 720p and got no problems with the ROM.

This XBMC version from Minix seems to work great!

I haven't watched a whole movie but using the Netflix from Google Play seems to work fine here with the movies I've tried so far. After maybe 1 min the picture is ok and not pixelated any more.

I also find the standard YouTube app from Google Play far easier to use than the included Google TV version.

I confirm, no analog audio.

1.2.0 final 1080p works great in 1080p mode but not as quick as 1.2.2 video is great and no spechs or white lines.

The new 1080p/720p/480p kernels and the kernel modules are uploaded. I built several drivers (like cifs/ntfs/bt/usb network driver) as modules to keep the kernel small due to better performance. By the way do you mind to provide some guide how to install this kernel and modules over the existing v1.2.2_1080p. Thanking you in advance in anticipating for a favorable reply.
