I installed only wasser`s kernel on 2.0.3 with AV out support and its working but not smooth, i tried on LG 1080p plasma (I will try tomorrow on other TV)

to: lewy20041 - after intalling only kernel I have very big dpi value, how can I change it in your rom?

i just turn on usb debugging on my new k-42, and then go to my computer to try to install the drivers.

But....the k-42 device don't power on anymore....? something's wrong ?

And by the way, before i enable usb debugging, i try to install the drivers on windows 8, but it keeps saying "drivers are not compatible with your material for x64 blablabla". But my system is x64 and I use the correct one....So....what's wrong ?

well for now, i can do nothing because it does not power on anymore....

I'm a little happier. I tried the 2.0.4 version and it has worked (halfway). Remember that the version 2.0.2 i 2.0.3 did not work, I understand that there is more of the announced internal changes between versions 2.0.3 and 2.0.4.

Only two things I have not you run:

- No AC3/DTS passthrough works. (Never has come to work in any version of firmware). My stereo has Dolby Prologic II and AC3 simulates quite well, I'll have to settle.

- Sleep mode wake up 10-15 seconds, I always turn off completely.

I can't get any picture with 2.0.x

1.20 works perfect on both tv's in 1080p just reflashed after 2.0.4

Any ideas, its driving me insane.

TV out is blank also. When flashing the firmware after the rkbatchtool is finished (it reports as complete no fail) the blue powerlight on k-r42 goes red. Is this a failure or just a reboot?

Is this a kernel issue or is it just that the res cant be dispalyed on my TV's. Anyone who has had the same problem and fixed please share with me.

I installed wasser's new kernel on 2.0.3 like you did and i have the same issue.AV out is choppy on my tv (like 15 fps), but i remembered not being choppy on my PC's TV card composite input. I will recheck with 2.0.4.
Despite this problem, kernel is more stable than the previous kernel (no reboots).

I also had no dpi changes (dpi=160)

no since i enabled debugging mode; nothing is working.

but sometimes when i plug the power adapter to the device and then press "power", the button turn blue 1/4 seconds and then....nothing !

I couldn't mount samba share on boot (in 1.2.0 rom yes). Did you edit init.d/ or install-recovery.sh? Thank you

P.S I use 2.0.3 firmware. Someone has the same problem?

Of course I edit file in init.d folder for my configuration. Bad yesterday - unfortunately didn’t mount. I dont’t change configuration so it is very strange.

Droidmote serveron the cs918 and the client on the phone... works very well if you have a good wifi.

cwm-recovery with correct kernel

i uploaded my new cwm-recovery.img with the correct kernel. The new one supports not ony vfat but also ext4/ntfs for external_sd.

Lewy, the cwm-recovery.img, included in 2.0.x, hat wrong kernel! you should please use this one in your next rom.
