Ok, will try it again, will it cause the device to over heat? Also, without my kernel, I doubt I will have Ethernet, and my stock remote will not work.

Perhaps, my download was corrupted, but it installed and is working, but there are no apps. No Google Play Store, or any other apps, except the browser. When open the browser, I can't get back to the desktop. As, I suspected, my Ethernet and remote do not work. None of the icons at the bottom of the screen work.

If you could have a look at the USB ports that would be great, the IR remote isnt a big deal since im using an minikeyboard. My device is a chinese R68 shown in the pictures in this thread http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...device-r68-1gb i have the 2gb/16GB model. Im using a combination of v3 of this rom http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...hardware-clock in combination with my original resource img i flashed in twrp.

Do you think getting the clock display working would be possible thanks in advance.

Did you flash the wokring (original) resource img of your box to the resource parittion?

Today, I flashed the download without any modifications. Yesterday, I replaced resource and kernel img's with my own and it stuck at the loading screen.

Did you try just reflashing the resource and not the kernel?

So i know its really related to firmware specific. But i have some trouble playing HEVC h265 files in SPMC and KODI. Some h265 play fine and others just stay in the background not showing video. Is this an issue people know and have a sollution for? Thanks in afvance.

Are you using the resource from this firnware? I don't have issues playing anything, Antutu video tester scores about 960.

All I can say is I've been running nothing but my hacked cpu builds at 1608mhz since September of last year on all my boxes and I've never had an issue with heat.

I've even run builds at 1752mhz believe it or not. RK3368 is nothing like RK3288, which runs blazing hot. RK3368 scales up in freq just fine.

brickmojoccatz, I'll get your clock/ports working for you soon.

Shomari thanks for the great updates, im using the resource you posted in this thread. I think it has somethign to do with 10bit and 8bit video files but ill check a few of them to be sure and post back.

Anytime I've posted firmware it's always very minimal. Next update I'll add play services, etc. as some users have requested it be included.

As to the icons, I've only ever heard of firnware sometimes having home/recent buttons not working, depending on how you flash the firmware and what firmware you're flashing over. Most installs are fine, but this happens on occasion.

Please test this for your USB ports and hardware clock - it should enable all your device-specific hardware, as your tv box has extra nodes and peripherals compared to my generic test device.

Excellent, thanks for your feedback. I'll upload a fix for your clock here soon. Does the clock show anything at all, or is it just blank?
