"You can lay down during the process to avoid any tension to your muscles and bones."

    2) Ok, do you know the way to root (and if possible to unroot) an how to dump, or do I have to search (of cause not a problem, but if you already knowing it...)...

And another question: is it possible to maintaining the device (not the android) only with the RC or do I must to have a USB-keyboard with UK/US layout (QWERTY) ?

    Greetings

          MX2 Linux

Well having tried Matricom Rom which is very good i now have a second MX2 box on Linux and i must say that it is super fast while navigating through Navi-X. About 1-2 sec per page. There is still a way to go on this rom but it certainatly seems the way forward if you want a dedicated Media Player. I will keep on testing and will post updated reports.
Also i have a stock rom if anybody requires it.

                  MX2 Stock Rom

This Stock Rom is for the G18REF Hardware which is suppled not rooted and with XBMC installed.
Both Android & Linux versions seem to run XBMC very well .
In the Android version CPU runs @ 75% on both cores & Ram used is about 470mb.
In the Linux version CPU is 50% on both cores & Ram used is about 250mb.
There is still a lot of bugs yet to be fixed in the Linux version but it is still early days .

                    @Knobhound
                    Thanks a lot!
What kind off linux-version do you use?
The one from the matricom.net board, the one from the xda-developers.com board or another one?

I bought me a Fly/Air Mouse with Keyboard called "iPazzPort KP-810-16", it's a nice toy...
At the moment you can get it in Germany at amazon marketplace for incredible 21 EUR (normal price is 39 EUR, I think perhaps it's a mistake)

If I get it, the box will be raped.
                    Hopefully also Kanged.
                    With what kind of cable?
Because I can't identify any connecting-possibility at the picture in your post #1 like the way described by Evgeniy at j1nx.nl

I used the one from xda-developers.com Thay seem to be releasing new versions regulary.
As for XBMC in the stock Rom i think it is on the 2nd page of the Apps section (swipe to the left).
Arn't these boxes great just off to find a feed for Leeds Rinos Match tonight.

Oh I see. The ROM you linked to was Android - that's the one I meant that does not have XBMC - not any screen - there is only one screen of apps.

Are you running the Linux ROM?

I am running both ,my son has a Android box and i have a linux box both run smooth but i am leaning towards Linux myself for the moment. Try both and see what you prefer.
Yes mediafile rom is a stock rom from these exact MX2 aliexpress China boxes and i get mixed up with their content after trying different roms.

Nice one. It was the mediafile rom that I tried - quite a few apps, but deffo no XMBC.

I like the Matricom ROM best so far.
