What to compare? They are identical. The stock version has some Google apps more.

Hi. I’m new here and yesterday my box came. It’s this one:

I think it’s all the same like topic title but with android tv os.
Just a few questions:
1. Does hdmi cec work with you. Mine doesn’t, already tried few diferent cables, nothing. My tv support it becouse with rpi3 cec worked fine.
2. Can i flash just via ota update magendanz rom for our device that isn’t android tv os but regular android os and for examlpe revert back to atv without losing drm, widevine level 1?

Hello. I have M8S PRO 3/16GB with 20170817 f/w. I bought M8S PRO 3/32GB and it has newer f/w. I want to downgrade via USB Burning Tool but I can't because my new M8S PRO doesn't have reset button! Can I downgrade the f/w without USB Burning Tool? Please help me!

1. Try to brush the box without reset button. Just pull out and then again pull in the USB cable if an error occurs.
2. Another solution is to make a backup on your old box with TWRP and then to do a restore from that backup on your new box using the same TWRP.

Thank you for your answer my friend. I found solution. Μy new M8S PRO doesn't have reset button but it has reset pins. So, I short reset pins and I did my job.

for future reference, I used an android Terminal emulator app then reboot update

also. if you continually press the context menu button. as you plug the cable in, that should work.

Hi folks, I bricked my M8S Pro. Burning tool does not recognise it anymore (ie pressing the reset pin does not work anymore).
Any idea how to resurrect this box?
