Does the voice function work on the MeCool M8s Pro L?

Please forget what I said, it is NOT Bluetooth. Confused it with my other Bluetooth remote without voice.

Can anyone tell if its possible to send 5.1 ch sound over the SPDIF o/p to AVR..If so what kind of cable would support the same?

Is anyone other than me experiencing any freezes? At first I thought it was due to high temperature, so I bought a new and bigger heatsink and I cut a hole in the top of the box: as a result, the temperature decreased of -10 celsius degrees, and now when kodi is running the average temperature is around 72C, which is acceptable I guess.
Also, I installed Megadanz Rom (I have a LQ firmware).
All of this didn't solve my "freeze" issue: especially, but not exclusively, with Kodi, the video goes still and the audio goes in a sort of loop (the last second gets played over and over, as if it were a stuck record).

Any ideas/suggestions?

Hi, I own a "LB" revision box for more than 3 month, all was working good, but I was always using "Full Power Off Option', now I tried to use "Sleep Mode" and after waking up from sleep mode bluetooth remote unpairs and I can only use it in IR MODE (without voice search), after unpairing/pairing from settings it works again before the next sleep mode. after waking up bluetooth unpairs again.

latest FW for this box add support for MediaCodec or still old amcodec?
Do you use Kodi from store? It is supporting amcodec?

Freezing from these boxes is NOT normal. I would suggest a complete reset of the box. Then add your apps and hardware one at a time and see if you discover the app or hardware that is causing the freezes. More than likely, it is a driver or software that is causing the issue....

I also got the Mecool M8S Pro L Box (3 GB Ram, 32 GB eMMC (?)) and would like to boot libreelec on the device....
But I am unable to frind the right dtb file for this device. On the first page of the post there is mentioned "if you use the right dtb"...

I tried a couple of dtb but none is working so far - After the mecool Logo nothing more is happening - or - the best one was booting but not getting any network (neither ethernet nor wlan) at all :-(

The remote was'nt working as well.

With an USB Keyboard I gained Access, and verified there was not Network device found..... but thats totally uncool:-)

Would be really nice if someone would direct me to the "right" dtb file... (as mentioned 3 GB Ram, 32 GB Rom, 100 MBit Ethernet, Bluetooth, 5 GHz Wlan)

Hi guys, have one of these boxes on the way, can anyone comment on some previously unanswered queries from this thread... Can HD audio formats be passed through HDMI? Also is 4k 10bit HDR working ok through Kodi either directly through Android OS or by booting into LibreElec?

HD audio plays natively through Android. The other question would be better answered on the Kodi forum.

OTA update for LB available now

p.s: OTA update hasn't worked yet, if I apply the update it gets hung on Mecool Screen 2 times in a row

Have also received the LB update (20180803.173707.V0213.userdebug) and it wouldn't install either. It fails with an error in recovery after the update app reboots the box. In my case tho it doesn't hang and I can reboot the system form the recovery menu.
The current firmware I have is 20180417.150752.V0213
The install log is attached which specifies the error. (I think)
I also have the kmsg log, and the update zip (47MB), but both too large for an attachment.
