Clarkss12 any chance you could tell me what 1mm 60ohm i can use please. i have no idea what i am doing and just going by what i am reading. i went to the local radio shack at lunch but they are gone. a link on amazon would be great if you could. i ordered these fans: MakerFocus 2pcs Raspberry Pi DC Brushless Cooling Fan Heatsink Cooler Radiator Connector Separating One-to-Two Interface 3.3V 5V for Raspberry Pi 2/Pi 3/3B+ and Pi Zero/Zero W or Other Robot Project https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072FW3DDQ..._OCebBbQX018RA then i was going to solder them to the bottom of the board just need to confirm the correct spots. also what size wire do i need to extend the fan wires? Thanks for all everyone's help!

Firstly I thank everyone who posted on the topic with photos and videos teaching to put the fan on meecol ... after reading all the posts I decided to put a 30mm fan on my M8S Pro L With Remote.

Thanks to the knowledge of you I was able to do the welds and the results were excellent.

Mecool M8S Pro L No fan

          Idle: 42 ° C
          Youtube 4K: 61 ° C
Kodi, Antutu or Geekbench: 78 ° C Max monitoring on CPU Temp

          Mecool M8S Pro L with 30mm fan

          Idle: 32 ° C
          Youtube 4K: 38 ° C
Kodi, Antutu or Geekbench: 47 ° C Max monitoring on CPU Temp

          Ambient temperature: 27 ° C

I am very pleased with the result and once again thank you all.

I ordered these from Radio Shack, but did not use them. I used 3 diodes in series. Each diode drops approximately .7 volts and does not affect the current like the resistors. You want to look for 1 watt if you can find them, the "1mm" you are looking for is a mistake, no such animal, you are looking for wattage, not mm.

            15-Ohm 1/2-Watt 5% Carbon Film Resistor (5-Pack) $1.00
            10-Ohm 1-Watt 5% Metal-Oxide Film Resistor (2-Pack) $1.00

I purchased my diodes from this place. https://www.adafruit.com/
            Purchase details 1N4001 Diode - 10 pack $1.50
            Shipping $4.55
            Total $6.05

That's one of the good things about getting older. Reduce speed why (because of Noise? ) what noise? What did you say? 5volt fan let it RIP
Many devices now mk902ii/Shield/Mk68 /Ugoos/neox5/minix5 (yes they still work lol) mk80 no it doesnt work lol.

Nice job, what is that black material that you have your fan mounted to??

                  Electrical tape (or insulating tape).

The hot stylus I used opened the carcass too much ... The hole for the fan was too big ... so I had to wear it to disguise it.

What do you think, guys, about mounting one of those (40x50mm) for passive cooling?

With me it was "deafening", in fact it does not look like it's going to bother but if you're near the stall or in a quiet place the fan noise is very but very annoying and might try to cause headache, I thought it was not until do the test without, resistors, although it is only 5v makes a very annoying little noise. I decided to leave the resistor 56 ohm 1w with 1% tolerance while buying some new ones.

It looked like a thick piece of plastic, that gives me some ideas......... thanks.

Hello! I envy your temperature chart, it's all very cool and attractive to me, minus the way you left the fan out is clear. lol ... Unlike the post with previous photos from mirbg, I noticed that you only use a common fan for Raspbarry Pi3 30mm, have not seen holes in the bottom or mentions about having changed the heatsink, thermal paste or have put additional heatsinks in the down of the board of box. So I wonder how you got such good results? I keep asking these questions in my head: Have you used resistors to reduce the speed of the fan, if so how many ohms? Did you use thermal paste, if so of which brand? Does the location of your home where your box is located have central air or air conditioning to keep the temperature cool? I do not know to but here the coldest day in the morning my Box did 38° c, and usually stands in the range of 44-46° c, already in games the temperature will stay in the range of 50-55° c, I really think this still much is hot, then I wanted to optimize the normal temperature to 35° c and in games to at least 45° c, so I would be happy, of course, without installing a bigger fan or using less creative techniques ( but effective at times). Note: My room has no refrigeration whatsoever, and it's hot until the evening.

Well, I also liked it, initially I thought it looked plastic, it instantly reminded me of the TX3 Mini model from Tanix. I've thought about wearing skin in my box, but I'll think better about it later. I've done everything to not get ugly, but when you do not have the right tools, it becomes a rather impossible task. I laughed a lot

I think it will only have good results from where you live is quite cold, otherwise you can on the third good results. It's also good to take into account how this will make your device stranger. lol
