Also KODI(I meant 17.6) still not fully stable! with SU Rom!

Note;MXPlayer a little bit more accurate and well performance than Kodi Player!

The "mecool m8s pro l" but has the real Android TV and it can play Youtube videos in 4K. Android TV does not have many boxes. Only the Xiaomi and the Shield. I'm really going to buy the box. Do you think it is so bad? I currently have one with s905 CPU and no problems with the graphics. Am satisfied!

Picture Quality:
Based on the few hours that I have used the box for testing, I couldn’t detect a discernible difference in picture quality compared to that of the nVIDIA Shield, Xiaomi Mi or Zidoo X9S. Since picture quality is a subjective perception, for comparison I have provided the HDMI captures of few video clips from the above mentioned boxes. At some point of time, I intend to do some objective video quality metrics assessment on the captured clips.

I've taken various movies and tv shows, played them on each box at same time through 2 different hdmi inputs, paused on exact same frame, then switched back and forth between inputs. Thats when I saw a big difference. AML box looked blurry and less detailed than rk3399 box.
Zidoo h6 pro is much better than AML box to.
This only may be really noticeable if you pause video like I did and switch inputs

and if someone do not dedect any diffrencies than this guy do not buy any expensive Box,such as NVidia or RK3399 and continue with AML905/912

I would prefer a rk3399 Box with active Cooler (FAN). I saw on Youtube at eta primes cannel that the antutu score is 110.000 with fan to 80.000 without! So i belive, this thiny clsoed Cases are not good for rk3399!

my last and only Test gave about 97000 Antutu Score , but that could be more with a bug free &

optimized FW and better cooling , my PCB was still more than warm after i get it out of chase ,

I was planing on doing a 120mm radiator as one than seen how tiny this unit was
I might still do it for kicks they are only around 10watts of heat being generated

= ~1 hr to heat 1L of water with around 10 deg rise excluding all thermal losses

I have flashed the rooted firmware shared in this thread but there are a few issues.

1. Unable to update SuperSU (App & Binary)
2. Titanium backup missing the Batch actions button, Search Button and the Menu Button. (I think this may be a build prop issue as the device may be set for a different display) - (I use TB to backup my setup and homescreens so i can port to other poxes very easily and with little effort so this app is a must for me).
3. Top bar not displayed (No biggie but annoying)
4. No navigation bar ( I am aware the unrooted also has no navigation bar, this can be easily fixed but cant understand why its not in the rom)
5. Unable to clear recents (Yes i am aware of the cache cleaner/ ram cleaner but it is not the same thing)
6. Unable to exit Kodi - Completely crashes box including system UI

Can anybody help resolve any of these issues or point me to a better firmware? as this just feels completely unfinished!

only a few Bugs that must be fixed and already reported in Geekbuying X99 Rom Thread ,

1. must be fixed with Update of Rom ,

2. i use it to and had the same Problems , i u Pie Control App , like LMT , with that i can reach Menu ,

but can only restore one by one , missing Buttons are the Problem , shit ,

Email to TB Developer maybe , it can be fixed with update of TB ,

3. it has to do with the stupid added atv.apks , i think , better only Stockrom then this fake ATV StockRom ,

4. i use Pie Control App , works well

5. Rom Bug same as with Kodi , to many Bugs in Rom ,

we only can hope that the reported Bugs will be fixed in next Update and the stupid atvAPKs will be gone ,

dont forget the bad translation of the atv parts , Stock parts are happily not so bad translated , maybe you

try another Kodi Version , and Kodi is already installed they only renamed it , so use the stock one , maybe

from 1 to 5 same me also! lot of stupid Bugs here and even Stock-ROM or SU-Rom too!!

Therefore gefattern explained to you;so we are awating another good working ROM as well

for KODI;

1-if you use Stock-ROM;KODI not work! 16/17/18......

2-if you use SU-ROM;Kodi "17.6" work(or earlier) well!! BUT 18.0 LEIA;problem,so do not install 18.0!!

SU-ROM+Kodi17.6;almost stable/good;but your problem kinda another happen,such why Kodi does not make the "EXIT"!

I'v heard this issue first time! such as which Version kodi you installed??

Or do you have installed "BUILD"?? in frankly I do not recommend you install any Kodi BUILD!!

Find and install those Addons separetely!

sounds strange , we really need a good working rooted Rom for this Box without BUGS ,

would be nice , i must enlarge my Fan , the old began to make noises .
