Amlogic Next7P12-8G Modified Recovery - Stock Rom & Flashable Root

You need the Modified Stock 3e Recovery unzip it to your external sd card, then put the zipped Root Package to the external sd.

I installed next8p12 rom with ur "Modified Stock 3e Recovery"
and its worked but the rom is bigger than my screen

I don't think there are any ROMs available for the Next7P12-4G... not even a stock one...

I don't think I can make one unless someone else who has that model can root it and dump the stock ROM from the device.

What was the problem when you tried the Next7P12-8G ROM? Did it fail to install or install but not boot properly?

Does it display an error message when it fails? At what step does it fail and what if anything does it say on screen about the failure?

I wonder if it is just too large for your model?

I found some info about your model on the Nextbook site... they did make two different versions, 1 with 4 GB internal storage and one with 8GB internal storage. Never seen a 4GB model. Trying to learn if there were any other differences.

E:unknown volume for path [/udisk/factory_upgrade_param.aml]
E:Can't mount /udisk/factory-update-param.aml

And When I try to update the rom Its saying:
-- install /sdcard ...
Then its stop without error message

If you were in the room I'd kiss you square on the lips and not care who saw it! LOL Thank you for saving my sanity and my 7P12. Everything worked as expected and my tablet is now no longer in zombie land.

Question...

Is your tablet the 8 GB internal storage model (possibly labeled Next7P12-8G or Next7SE-8G) or is it the 4 GB internal memory model (possibly labeled Next712-4G, Next7SE-4G or NEXT7P12GP)?

The messages about the factory_upgrade_param.aml are normal. That file is an optional script that can be used to install an update and reboot the tablet with no user interaction. It never even shows the user the recovery if it finds such a script it just runs the script whether the user likes it or not.

What happens next? Does it just reboot or do you have to turn it off manually?

So it never even starts the signature verification? Are you sure you waited long enough?

With my Next8P12 and Next8HD8G ROMS, I have noticed there is quite a delay between when ---install SD Card--- appears and when the signature verification begins. I don't know why, but these steps are handled by the recovery and I can't do anything to reduce the delay.
