So it never even starts the signature verification? Are you sure you waited long enough?

With my Next8P12 and Next8HD8G ROMS, I have noticed there is quite a delay between when ---install SD Card--- appears and when the signature verification begins. I don't know why, but these steps are handled by the recovery and I can't do anything to reduce the delay.

I have never seen any ROM or any type of update.zip package freeze a tablet or otherwise fail to install before the signature verification completed.

I wonder if there is something wrong with your ROM download. Have you tried redownloading the ROM?

After rereading some of rumpunchpow's posts, I believe he successfully installed this ROM on a Next7P12-4G / Next7P12GP.

I believe /media is the mount point for the external SD card. You can't wipe it while it is in use. For example, if you booted from a file on it...

None of my ROM files attempt to do anything with /media, unless you count reading files from the external SD Card.

I believe this ROM should work on your model. Have you tried downloading the stock ROM for the Next7P12-8G again, I think maybe your download was corrupted.

The modified recovery worked right? You downloaded the recovery, unzipped it, placed the uImage_recovery file on the top level of your external SD card and booted by holding power and volume, correct?

When the ROM download finishes, do NOT open or unzip the ROM. Just put it on your external SD card, reboot to recovery and attempt to flash it.
