Try reformatting your SD card, redownloading the ROM, wipe cache and data (twice), then reflash again.

    Hi Shaun,
Followed the advised process 5 to 6 times and still the issue remains, any other options or workarounds to make the WIFI work will be much helpful.
    Thanks

No, I'm sorry... all of the WiFi issues that have been encountered previously have eventually been resolved by either wiping or reflashing.

I just got a Nextbook NX8HI (NX008HI8G) and I can't root it for the life of me. Perhaps you can help. I will also dump the ROM for you (which I am learning to do while typing this) if I can, so you have something new to play with. I'm sure it's damn close to the NX007 but nothing seems to work. Just pm me or reply on this thread, as I created this profile just to chat with you

Please hurry. Would make an awesome x-mas present

Hi Shaun, Thinking of going back to factory firmware, is there a way to do that?

                Thanks

Which model do you have? If you have the NX008HI8G, there isn't anything available for it yet. You could try Cydia Impactor though. I think someone reported that it didn't work on the NX008HI8G, but it has worked on many of the newer Nextbook models. If Cydia Impator does work, I'd love to help you dump the firmware before you make any further modifications to the system partition.

The stock based ROM you flashed is the closest thing available to a factory firmware. eFun / Nextbook doesn't provide any firmware files.

                        Hi all,

I received a Next7P12-8G from a friend of mine, and boy, it is slow! Are there any recommendations (specific to the build) that would help speed this tablet up?

                        CPU: AML8726-ME Cortex A9
OS: Andriod OS 4.0 (tablet itself says Android Version 4.0.4)
                        Memory: 8GB
                        Serial #: YFG1112

                        Thanks!

I flashed my next7p1212-8g with the rom and my wifi bit the dust. I've cleared the cache and wiped the data and reflashed and redownloaded the rom several times. My serial numbers starts with yfg07 if that helps. Could I have a different tablet? Than the one for this rom?

You could have a different tablet. Nextbook makes lots of very similar models. They have also been known to change internal hardware without updating the model name or packaging.

Are you sure yours is a Next7P12-8G?

Have you tried reformatting your external SD card?

Yeah that's what the model number says on the back. My serial number sits between numbers that I've seen this rom work with. For example I've noticed people with a number like yfg06 or yfg08 and they reported success. I wonder if I should open the tablet again to see if their's a different wifi card component. When I go to wifi under settings it says turning on wifi and it sits for awhile, it never generates an error.
I will try to wipe the external sd card and put just the recovery rom and root on it.

                                Interesting...puzzled?

First off, Thank you for doing this for us.

                                I have the next7p12-8g and
I decided to proceed without knowing my serial number.

                                The root package installed sucessfully.
I was able to remove a app that I thought was causing all of her havoc.
After a couple of hours the tablet is still acting glitchy and generally fubar.

My next step was to reset to factory defaults through settings.
                                Tablet still acting fubar!

My next step was to use shaunmt stock rom file and then re-root.
It was a no go after several attempts, reformatting my sd card, re downloading the files.
NOPE! Signature fails and installation was aborted over and over again.

This morning...I tried again and the root process is complete...
I never even removed the sd card from lastnights ordeal.

                                Strange!
