I've wondered if the data partition could be swapped with the larger internal sd card partition. Not sure if this would work due to the file systems.

I'm fairly certain the internal and external SD mounts could be swapped, but this would create potential issues with booting from external SD card.

We could also probably just not mount the internal SD card at all, and instead mount the external SD card as both internal and external. Sacrificing the internal SD space would probably be worth it to those of us with huge SD cards.

It worked perfectly with my old samsung ace where the primary partition was created on the external SD with all apps on.

I may start posting CWM as early as tonight... but I'm going to have to make versions for each tablet model. I thought I could do a generic amlogic one, but I'm afraid bootloader, kernel and partition size variations between models may lead to problems.

I'm also so extremely close to finishing CM10 that I'd like to get everything working on it, in case I need to change any of the recovery code to make it work correctly.

What is the manufacture date of your tablet?

This is often an issue caused by a bad install. It can almost always be resolved by wiping data and cache from recovery, or by reinstalling the ROM, however it can be very frustrating, as it often requires wiping or flashing more than once to fix. I'm pretty sure these cheap tablets have even cheaper nand memory chips that get bad blocks in them.

                Here are some suggestions.

                Reboot to recovery.

Wipe data and cache. Do it twice each before rebooting.

                If that didn't work...

                Reformat your external SD card.

Redownload the ROM and the modified recovery.

Put the new files on your SD card.

                Reboot to recovery.

Wipe data and cache. Do it twice each.

Flash the ROM again then reboot.

If that didn't fix it, just keep trying.

I think the problem is with the "YFG" 2013 tablets

Possibly, that's why I asked for your date. We recently discovered that the internal hardware components of the Next8HD8G changed during late 2013.

The only ROM dump I have for the Next7P12-8G is dated 10-23-12 in the build.prop file.

Anyone got anything newer in their build.prop?

The good news is the modded E3 recovery works on the newer build.

First. Download a build.prop editor app from the play store and use it to look for a build date in your build.prop file.

Awesome! If you could dump it and upload it somewhere for me, I'm sure some people would appreciate it.

                              Here are the dump instructions:
