Yes, I believe it has Multi-Window.

Those KO files are necessary to connect to VPN.

Some folks need that to connect to their networks...but it isn't a mainstream requirement.

It is definitely not multi-windows, unfortunately, I still wait to see the multi-window support on M6 pro...

recovery mode

I tested the recovery mode, pressing volume +,esc and PWR buttons but during power on I can see the android robot down with a red triangle on it and nothing else, is it correct?

Yes, that happens when you boot to recovery with the stock recovery loaded. It doesn't have any features like CWM does.

I'm not sure how you will be able to get back to the system because the misc.img will be set to boot to recovery each time. I've had to flash the ROM in order to get out of it before.

I went back simply using the reset hole. How can I install the cwm? This is the first time that i'm using clockwork. I need to go in recovery mode to install crossbreeder, but I really need help on how to do this!
Any help is really appreciated!

Within the ROM zip file is a folder called RileyROM.

Open the flash tool and to the right of recovery there is a browse box. Browse to the RileyROM folder and select the cwmrecovery.img file.

Uncheck everything except the recovery line on the flash tool and flash (no need to erase IDB).

When the tablet boots, you will have CWM recovery installed.

I finally managed to install the crossbreeder mod. Now I'm going to see if there is any real improvement in performance with this mod installed!

The CWM have some useful functions, but the stock seems useless. Which is the purpose of the stock one?

Problem about creating multiple users

Thank you for your great work for this ROM. I have flashed it to my PIPO m6 pro and I found it very satisfied.

But I have encountered a problem when I try to create multiple users on the tablet.

I have created the second user by using the settings page. After that, I log on to that second user and found that the "DefaultActivity" job prompt on the screen and didn't complete even after a long period of time. Also, I couldn't go to the home screen when I press the home button.

Is there any steps that I missed in order to create a second user on the tablet?

After the first reboot from flashing when you want to use multi users, you need to use a rooted explorer app to remove provision.apk from the system/app folder.

In previous ROM's, I just removed this app...but I had overwhelming requests to leave the Pipo Launcher in the ROM...which requires the provision.apk to initialize it on the first boot.

While I have activated the multi-user feature, not many people use it...but many do use the Pipo Launcher...so as a compromise, I activate the feature, but you must remove this app for the 2nd user setup. I haven't played much with it, but theoretically...you may not be able to use the Pipo Launcher on the 2nd user account for this reason.

Since Pipo doesn't support multi-user (if they did, they would have it turned on in their firmware)...I don't think they will be providing a solution for this PITA.

Some days after install it my device started to freeze and I had reset it at least 3 times with wire , nothing serious was installed (except APEX).
Anyone experienced behavious like this?
Further I had to return to stock FW.
By the way no anymore 09.28 fw on PIPO site ? Only fw from 09.14 for GPS.
1) Do you have idea why the freezes happened?
2) Could you please provide link to stock fw from 09.28, plz?

Don't get me wrong, because I really like these Chinese tablets...that's why I do these ROM's for them.

But it seems like each device is like a snowflake...they all have their own set of individual issues.

Yes, I've read on these threads that some tablets have freezes and some don't.

I'm at the mercy of whatever firmware Pipo releases...that's what I base my ROM's on. This is because nobody but Pipo has the source code to their firmware (specifically the kernel). We just have to find what works for our devices and put up with the idiosyncrasies until they finally release a stable update.

It's been a while since Pipo released an update, so maybe one will come soon. I know that today, workers in China have returned to work from a long holiday....It's time for them to GET WITH IT!!!!!!!

I've bought 7 pipo m6 pro for me and my colleagues at work and none of them have the freezing problem (only 2 use the RileyRom 1.2 - one is mine, the other 5 have the stock ROM).
