There is a method to the madness. It seems that the advertised specs are a generality to make it look good in print. However I do need the exact measurements in order to make the boot screens work correctly. Too small is OK...but too big causes a black screen on boot.

I have to make some adjustments based on those readings.

For the boot animation I used 2048 x 1536 and it worked fine.

Hi guys,

I'm still having issues with 3G. The tablet simply won't recognise my 3G SIM card. It seemed to be working ok last week when I put in a test SIM card but now it doesn't. I'm pretty sure there's some issue with the SIM card making contact with the SIM slot correctly. IF I press down on the side of the tablet where the SIM card is located sometimes the SIM card will pop out of the slot. This concerns me about the build quality of the device. In my opinion it is nowhere near the build quality of the Pipo M6 Pro 3G, which is the only Pipo tablet I can compare it to. Has anyone else experienced a similar issue with 3G on their tablet?

Just a quick question,
Although I flashed Riley's 1.2 Rom successfully following the instructions and erasing the NAND I still see the following:

Guys, any idea why "adb devices -l" shows nothing when I connect the tablet to USB?

When I connect my phone it works fine.

Hey Randy. I don't think it boots well. I get your new logo when i start it(with also the logo of pipo) but afterwards it doesn't go to your loader. The screen is on but black. I see the clock and a volume button but most of the screen is black. I flashed it twice and the problem persists.

Is there an reason, wie I Sound update to the riley rom, wich is based on an older FW?

By the way, my antutu Score in HD Mode is about 18000 and in SD IT is about 19000.

His new rom 1.3 will be based on the newer firmware you use. I would wait and flash to his new version.

Well the previous official firmwares gave me a pretty bad wifi performance( reception on these pipo tablets isn't great in general..). Also the rom is less bloated and gives root acces.

My son has a baseball tournament today, so I'll be away...but I think we are close to a new ROM. I just need to get the boot screens ironed out.

Thanks to all who have tested the new ROM for me. I don't have an M6 Pro to test with, so I'm relying on you guys to help me.

I have a question, Randy. Have you added the videofix by sam321( there was a discussion on the android stick forums) to one of your roms? I have a stick with a rk3066 which plays HD video more smoothly than my pipo M6.. I'm a bit dissapointed by Rockchip. I feel they have a strong cpu and average gpu which is kept back by their firmware.
